    Great minds!

Crossfit day 2 - workouts from the main website

    For time:
    15 jerks
    45 pull ups
    12 jerks
    36 pull ups
    9 jerks
    27 pull ups

    weight used: 95#
subbed jumping ring pull ups for regular bar pull ups

    time: 20 minutes (+/- 30s)

WOW tough work out. I knew right away I couldn't do 108 ring pull ups, especially not after the rowing yesterday. The jerks took some getting used to, it's a movement I haven't done in a while so I did a few at 45#, 75# and then started the work out with 95#. Those reps were not continuous, many breaks were had and starting position was from the ground since I don't have a rack in my garage, which is where my rings are. Overall, I feel pretty satisfied with this one!

note: the website specifically says not to sub in jumping pull ups because of the high rep count but I don't have bands so I didn't have much of a choice and I didn't want to do decline ring pull ups. I tried to focus on the negative which seemed to soften the fall pretty well.

    Workout: 8 minutes of pain

8 minute workout, 1 minute for each exercise, continuous:
    squats - 53
    pushups - 40
    20 inch box jumps - 20
    ring pullups - 15
    Inverted burpees - 7
    20# 10ft wall ball throws - 10
    Burpees - 10
    Double unders - 25
    total: 180 reps

This was an incredibly painful one. I'm still recovering as I type this out, 15 minutes later. I have pins and needles in my arms and face... ugh. Good workout though, I've never done inverted burpees before so i did a dry run before I started and they are easy enough with my frame but the movement is long and time consuming (and I had to go inside and take my shoes off because I have no wall space in my garage...

The weekend is over! Back to work tomorrow.
