The quickest way to screw up your Lordotic Arch and lower back is to do them wrong.

Why are Burpees a good ab ex? Because abs/core is crucial in the proper execution.

When you "kick back' make sure that your abs are engaged to hold your body in a straight line. Keep your abs engaged throughout the entire movement, regardless of whether you do the pushup portion or not. If doing the pushup portion as well......do not sag on this either.

DO NOT.....do a 'rubber-band' Burpee, where you kick back and let the body sag so that you can catapult back up ballistically.
    This the wrong method.

Kick back to perfectly straight alignment and use the power of your core/abs to come back.

Again...do NOT sag/bounce on the movement with your abs relaxed.

If done right you'll be feeling it in the abs...

    Cheers......:)
