John, would Tools-->Internet Options-->Security (tab) (may have to click "Custom Level") have anything to do with it? I'm wondering if the security is set so high, or if java is turned off, or something. Just a thought.

Any other software running Kate? Norton, some weird popup blocker, etc.?

    :d_frown:

Oh wait - Kate are you sure you cleared cache? You replied to John in less than a minute, if you've never cleared cache it would have taken a lot longer for you to get back here and reply. :D

She said it was working before, so I've got to assume that her JS settings are a-ok. :tu:

Exactly. I think we crossed paths as we were posting. Clearing the cache can take a long time, so I think she may have just deleted her history.

Every case of this happeneing that I can find has been because the browser has the old JS files cached.

Quick Reply posting drops my connection

    OS: Windows Vista Beta 1
    Browser: IE7

Now, sometimes when I reply to a thread, my connection drops and I end up having to reset my router. I know for a fact that it's not because I'm running Windows Vista or Internet Explorer, as it happens to me when I use Internet Explorer 6 and Windows 2000. Does anyone else have this problem (when your page starts loading after you reply to a thread and then times out, and refreshing or navigating to another site does nothing)?

    ahdgsjad

As I posted this it happened again!

Hey John, I see you replaced the smilies so they would be smaller for 15 x 15. My favorite smilie was the thumbs up guy. he was so happy. The current thumbs up is sort of a weird hand :tu: not very motivational.

Any way I shrank the old guy a bit, that gap is now pretty small, what do you think?

What do you think? Any chance it can come back?

I agree with GH and wh0. The rest are cool, but the thumbs up looks very strange and this confused face looks like eek. I often click the wrong one.

Don't know how good these are, or if the size is right, but...

Some are from Yahoo, etc. so I don't know if you can use them (don't see why not, but felt I should mention it).

    We still have: :d_confuse too...

Someone who's good at working with animated GIFs should remove that white crap from the edges of the

    :spaz: :read: :flex: :db:

smilies. It looks terrible on the dark background. That bothers me more than the size!

I'm also open to 15x15 replacements.

I'll look around. I hate editing animated gifs, but will take a stab at it if I don't find anything.

HOLY COW too bad these are not 15x15 - http://www.helpingteens.org/groups/index.php?act=legends&CODE=emoticons

Yes, I did, one was from here: http://www.sbsbpi.co.uk/phpbb2/posting.php?mode=smilies& (Trillion smilies??)

And the other is from Yahoo chat.

Not sure if this matters, though I suppose you would want to know (are you allowed to use them?).
