    Anytime Tom!

How much time and what days will you be able to workout at the gym?

I can't wait to see your transformation. :tucool:

45 min. today: chest, triceps, and shoulders. I guess I'll lift 3 days a week and do cardio 2 days. Next lift day I plan on doing back and biceps. Third lift day, legs.

Just like I tell everyone else that starts out. Watch out for jogging, running, spinning for cardio. Your body is stressed and will not like the extra stress of fast movement with these methods of cardio. Plus when you build muscle it will enable you to burn the fat easier and quicker (ie. Weight Training). I am not saying walking for 30 minutes or more a day is a bad thing, actually I recommend it. Like RTE says...Park in the far parking lot when going to a store and get some cardio that way instead of running around. Just some ideas to think about.

Also rest is a BIG player in cutting. Make sure you are not working out everyday. I would try the 3 day split and maybe walk 1-2 times a week on off days. Just my 2 cents.:tucool:

Drink 1 gallon + of water a day and it should be easier.

Been a LONG time. At some point I deleted the original photos that were above worrying about my peers searching my screen name and finding them.

I recently was up to 259 lbs this year and stressed about everything and felt like crap again. I once again decided to do something about it and have gotten down to 212.5 lbs by eliminating fried foods, bread, pasta and eating lots of grilled chicken, veggies and fruit. Also, riding my bike, some boxing workouts, walking, and just finished a Darebee 30 day workout called Gravity.

It's now time to take it a step further so I started searching the web for educational information and re-found this great site. I have signed up for something called Conquer the Gauntlet March 2017. Its a 4 mile obstacle course and I definitely need to develop a game plan and build some muscle. On my scale last night I was 26% body fat.

    Thanks,

Thanks guys, I let life get in the way. It becomes a vicious cycle of bad eating, feel bad, don't want to do anything, repeat. I started a new 12 week lifting program and I'm trying to read as much as I can on nutrition. Being 45 now, I have a lot of bad habits.

I have been at the same weight (212-214) for 2.5 months and still going to the gym and lifting. Definitely getting stronger and can see some changes. My body fat is still higher than I like and I don't want to lose the strength that I have gained. I have been using My Fitness Pal for around 35 days and have my calories set at 2421 and macros are 40% Protein(242g), 30% Carbs (181g), 30% Fat (81g). I would have to guess that my body fat is still around 25%.
I do not have a problem with the weight that I'm at or my overall size but would like to try and get 15% body fat and have some dang muscles.

Any advice and calorie/macro changes would be appreciated. I still have 8 weeks until a competition with family and coworkers called Conquer the Gauntlet.

    Thank you,
