Taken with a smart phone, Dallas and Jeremy set up one of our test prototypes. We will have HD videos showcasing more details as soon as possible.

Another quick shot of Olympian Dallas Irvin http://www.dallasirvin.com/ performing squats (he tells me the team does a lot of these!).

I can't wait to see what it can do. How many exercises...? I think I would need to try to compare it to the Titan.

There are products out there that claim hundreds of exercises. When you dig a little deeper you find they are counting some exercises that are dubious at best and unsafe at their worst. Then there is the practice of counting right arm curl and left arm curl as two exercises and duplicating the same exercise in multiple ways with no added benefit to beef up the numbers. Don't forget about the pinky curl ;)

In my book the more appropriate question should be, how many quality exercises does a gym product offer and how can you combine those to create a great workout in a minimum amount of time...hitting your muscles from different angles for quick progress.

This may not fully answer your question but the X9 will perform more high quality exercises than any gym on the market and I am certain if we got creative we could exceed the "hundreds" of silly exercises counted by those who are just looking to inflate their numbers for marketing purposes.

Out of curiosity, what are the most common exercises you perform on your Titan? If you were going to improve your Titan, what would you change?

The squat mechanics look interesting, but does it require a second person to move the holder? Most people who work out at home don't have a spotter handy. How does one do that by him/herself?

Great question! Our patent pending Monolift design has a number of adjustment/settings. A special pullpin with built in locking/unlocking function allows for a static operation (arms don't move) as well as dynamic (arms swing forward/back). If you were working out by yourself you could lock the arms in place and rack/unrack as you normally would.

If you have a friend working out with you then you can use the spotting capabilities of the Monolift allowing the lifter to remain stationary, while the arms swing out of the way. This removes the requirement of walking the weights out and back at the beginning and end of the squat. This feature is especially useful when lifting heavier weights or establishing your max. It is also safer and easier on the knees. We positioned the Monolift at the rear of the machine where Sumo squats can also be performed. The Monolift does more than just squats and the adjustment using gas assist springs is just one of a host of features.

Note: I posted these videos just to get something up for people to see. This was literally the first time Dallas or Jeremy had used the system. We threw a barbell on the Monolift just as they finished assembly of the X9 and shot this video. The system can be set up more precisely and used with greater efficiency/flexibility than what is shown.
