It comes packaged with two unicorns and one mermaid. Additional mermaids are available for a nominal charge.

But seriously guys, just try to hang in there a little while longer. It's a real product with some really nice features. We are working feverishly to get this ready for market while protecting the intellectual property rights. We have made revisions that will benefit those of you who decide to purchase in the long run. Of course we can't keep adding items that delay the launch indefinitely but we felt the latest feature set was worth one last delay. Thanks for bearing with us.

    Hey
Yes this is getting silly you keep pumping up this product but no info, no pictures and no release info? If you have patents and post pictures no one can legally copy it. I do not understand that and do not understand the delays. Easily in one year they can design an entire car. Can you guys pleases provide info. For now my Titan works perfectly ! :)

This is a solid point. In the very first post John had mentioned personally seeing drawings and 3D renderings. Surely there has to be something the manufacturer can share.

Alright folks, we are imposing a countdown timer on ourselves to start releasing info on the X9. We should have something to show you in a little over 60 days. You can follow the countdown at www.x-gyms.com (ignore the percent meter). As always thank you for your patience.

Hello All. We are down to just over one month before we release some of the first images of the X9 and list some of it's capabilities.

Happy Independence Day to all our American friends here and Hello to everyone else!

So, as promised, today we are making a couple images available so you can finally get an idea of what the X9 looks like. In the weeks leading up to John receiving an X9 for testing we will also release some video to give you a better idea of the full functions of the X9.

The basis of the X9 project has been to create a premium gym system that you can tailor-make to your budget and needs. A system that will grow with you for years to come and a product that is robust enough to be used by more than one generation of family. It is a great gym for athletes and those looking to tone up alike. Because it offers so many possible exercises (which we will be discussing more leading up to the official launch) you will never get bored. This is a key point because other products tend to cause platues in your training cycle due to lack of features or muscle memory.

We cover all the basics (free weights, a cable suite, pec deck), as well as some unique exercises, when combined, that you will not find on any competing machine. Many people have heard of Functional Training machines by now. We like to categorize the X9 as an Ultra Functional Trainer (UFT) because it goes well beyond what standard FT's can do. Truly, you can do the majority of the exercises found in the commercial gym all with one machine in a relatively small footprint. The Official name will now be called the X9 Evolution Hybrid Gym (Evolution because it can evolve with you and your family, fire department, personal training clients, etc).

So let's take a look at a couple images that show the X9 with a handful of available options. We will show more options leading up to our official roll out.

Looks interesting! Do you have any preliminary figures on dimensions and weight? I have some concern my floor couldn't support it (I'm on a crawlspace not a concrete slab).

For the dimensions please see below. Note: The depth of 7'3" is for the X9 frame only (not including the bench or other yet to be introduced options). Depending on the position of the bench this distance can get longer. A 10 x 10 foot room (with 8 foot ceiling) should work for most option/configurations but 11 x 11 or larger would give you space to move the bench in and out more comfortably. We do have one option yet to be announced that would require a 14 foot wide room to get the full benefit but 90% of the benefit could still be achieved with for example a 12 foot wide room. If you intend on doing free weight work (ie dumbbells) outside of the X9 using the H3 "Catalyst" Bench (shown in the picture with red upholstery) you should plan some space to position that accordingly. Hope this helps. I will get the X9 weight (in a common configuration) to you within the next few days. Thanks.

    debacle,

The weight will range depending on whether you are going basic or loading the X9 up with every option available. Starting weight will be around 1000 pounds and can go as high as 3000 pounds (including 400 pounds of weight stacks should you opt for that as well).

Even though the unit has a fairly small footprint the "spider" legs on the front and straight legs on the back give it enough surface area, it should be well supported. That said, if in doubt have a professional take a look and give his/her opinion. Hope that helps!

    Demonseed,

The basic system will start around $3500 with an engaging option package coming in just north of $7K. These numbers are sale prices (not MSRP) and do not include the additional one time discount offered to those on this site who have submitted their info and been waiting patiently.

Another quick update with animated videos. We will continue to release more information leading up to when John receives his X9 for testing.

Are you saying fully loaded - basic and all the options will cost around $10,000?

    womanofweights,

Thanks for your question. We intentionally designed the X9 allowing the user to start with a basic (albeit premium) free weight platform. From there he/she has the ability to tailor-make it to their desired budget/requirements.

We currently have over 30 options ready or in the pipeline. Different options will appeal to different people depending on their objectives. We will likely continue to create more options based upon user feedback and recommendations. When you buy some "all-in-one" machines, you end up paying for things you may not be interested in. We are "unbundling" as many parts (big and small) as we can so you only pay for what you want. As an example, some here may already own an adequate cable system or bench. We don't want to force them into buying those items if they don't want/need them. That said, our system is designed to work in concert with all of it's parts so admittedly pairing our options with our machine does have some advantages.

To answer your question directly, yes someone could go over 10K but the likelihood of them loading up that many options on one machine is pretty slim. We see a package deal with some of the most popular options potentially coming in at a discounted price just north of 7K. The discounted price will be offered to those here on JSF who have submitted information through the link a few posts up on this thread. Pricing will be adjusted (likely upward) after the initial discounted sales period.

Just to review, a person can start with the basics now and as their needs/budget increase, add more options later. We have worked hard to "future proof" the design so the attach points remain consistent. Other companies want you to buy entirely new products every few years and don't worry about future proofing. In fact, they typically stand against this concept for increased revenue and market share to support their multiple layers of management/overhead, etc. We could care less about market share and just want to sell one amazing machine to each customer once, supporting them with many options over a lifetime.

Sorry for the lengthy response. I hope I answered your question?
