1x7x335 1x20x275, both PRs. I took ~a month off from squatting and came back with PRs!
The real deal. ^^^
Thanks Pete I had more in the tank! I'm comin for you!
2x15x186 - Going for a quick fast heavy breathing session at the gym.
You know everytime i get under a barbell to squat. I keep thinking i am going to get stuck under there. I have a real confidence issue when it comes to this exersise and it irks me.
What have other people done to get by this?
BB Step ups:15"
335# 4x5 PR (not bad for 8lbs deep into a cut)
Yeah I had this a while back. Once I got a spotter to stand behind, I managed to crank out more reps. I also prefer to squat in a squat rack with decent safeties rather than a shitty one. This adds to the confidence.
412 pound ATG Olympic Squat @ 190 pound bodyweight (Fuck Yeah!)

That's sick, Pete. Congrats!

Oh man, bad ass.
30 pounds over double bodyweight
Um, Happy Easter. Is that a family tradition?
That's how I put my food from the Easter cheat meal to good use. Follow that up with some 5x245 unilateral deadlifts and that's a good day.
'atta boy Pete.
Nice work, Pete. I like how excited you were after.
Not quite in the same league but today I did 100kg x 8,8,7
Had an interesting workout today. Somehow, on my last rep of my last set of squats, I managed to launch the loaded barbell up off of my shoulders, and somehow it went over my head. I've never seen anything like this happen before, but it seemed to hit the top of my head and really crank my neck downward.
I was in pain for a minute or two, then I was just in shock at what happened. Then I focused and finished my workout.
On the plus side, I had a guy comment check my form and verify that I'm going parallel. He said yes, but I'm leaning forward a bit. I don't think I'm leaning forward that much, but I've definitely got a big ass gut in the way.
warmup 2x5 45
warmup 1x5 85
warmup 1x3 130
warmup 1x2 175
working sets 3x5 220
Never heard of that happening either, weird.
Tonight's squat portion was short and sweet:
BSQ 5x305, 3x3x305
I think I've already lost some strength from my post-Smolov 385. That set of five wasn't to failure, but I'm not sure I could get another three reps out of it, which was the 8-RM ~ 80% metric for me pre-Smolov. If I can still hit my last max, I'm wondering if my percents have shifted; I'm not sure if that would mean that I got more or less efficient if I was now a 6 or 7-RM ~ 80%.
I've never launched a bar over my head without meaning to, but I frequently get a little too serious with acceleration through the top and pop it a bit off the shoulders. I think I just like to rattle the plates a bit. I have to remind myself to not do that mid set during rep work.
I guess it's time to learn to do jerks, tensdanny.
