Thanks Dan. I'm actually approaching the three year anniversary from when I started training. Starting so young is great, because I've gotten a huge head start. For instance, by the time I'm twenty-five, I will have eleven years of experience under my belt.

I'm hoping that within a year I'm about where you are now. I really don't know how possible or likely that is. I'm sure my gains are going to level off eventually.

If all goes well today and I've recovered enough I'm gonna try to rep 100kg for 20.

Great going guys! I always look forward to squat day for me on Monday. I don't know if its because I like them or because I want to get them over with for the week. :D

Last week was a PR for me at 202 lbs. (3X6). I weigh 137 lbs. and am hope to get to 2X bodyweight at some point, although at my age (51) it isn't as important as it used to be.

Today I loaded up to 220 and made the mistake of putting my bench behind me to gauge that I was going down far enough. Bad idea! On my third rep, I sat down on the bench, deloaded my legs, and couldn't get it back up. Lesson learned - never take the load off your legs when you're going heavy. Mentally, I was beat at that point, so will have to wait till next week to give 220 another try.

I dropped the weight back to 200, did my 3X6, then dropped the weight down to 160 lbs. for an additional set of 12 reps.

My warm up is way off.

    2x5 bar
    1x5 135
    1x5 155
    1x3 185
    3x5 215

How do you calculate your warm up?

I just use the spreadsheet from the SS wiki. It's possible I'm not copying and pasting it correctly. Let me take a look.

In order to copy it directly, it takes some manipulating of the data.

edit: Went and looked at original data.

    I have 2x5 bar
    1x5 75
    1x3 115
    1x2 155
    3x5 195

    For todays workout, for example.

    For my 215, I have:
    2x5 Bar
    1x5 85
    1x3 125
    1x2 170
    3x5 215

Not sure where the difference is coming into play.

Have any of you guys tried to squat bodyweight x 100 reps. On another forum that I frequent, it seems to be a real hot topic lately. Anybody tried????

    Today

    Breathing Squats: 20 x 165 reps

As for bodyweight squats, I would guess that it would burn like a mother to do 100 reps. If you did them slowly especially. Quickly, I can do a good 40 or 50 before really feeling anything in my legs.

EDIT: I now realize that the poster was describing squatting with added weight equal to bodyweight. That would be extremely impressive. I originally thought he was referring to weightless "bodyweight" squats....silly me

Did some higher rep squat work yesterday since i building for cycling season. It was a nice compliment to the timed deads on Weds.

    BB BSQ: Full
    255# 2x12

    Goodmornings:
    205# 3x8

225# x100 would be one hella workout. I might have to give that one a try. Seems like a great way to build some aerobic endurance and to satisfy someone's masochistic tendencies :p
