I have all your replies bookmarked :dreamy:.

J/K I have the weirdest memory I can't remember the things I want to but other stuff pops into my head constantly.

If you two give it the thumbs down them I'm sold. I feel confident in my form. I should get a video just in case though.

I did my usual Wednesday lifting today on Thursday, including deadlifts. I'm at the end of a stretch of HIT (one set to failure and then ramp up next time). Today's deadlift:

    140 lbs x 12 reps

next time I bump it up to 145 lbs

and in a couple of weeks I shift to a different kind of routine where I'll try much higher weight at lower reps

    I can barely contain myself....

Definitely a Wednesday lift. It was Wednesday in my Bigger Faster Stronger program during highschool so my programs now keep it on Wednesday.

Well, no Wednesday deadlift for me . I have a slight pull of the left hamstring from this Sunday and deadlifting would be pretty high up the list of stuff to not do on the pulled hamstring.:cry::cry:

On the other hand, when I get it rested, from all the upper body workouts between now and then? I predict I will be more than ready to deadlift.

Did some DL's yesterday after a 6 week hiatus from them. 3x6 @ 335lbs, they went up nice and smooth. Will try for 350 next week :D.

It's so light to him he's just going for max reps he isn't risking injury at all.

I was trying to think of something to add to this thread and I remembered that Zen mentioned doing timed deads

    So...

    Speed deadlifts in 10 mins:

    29x225

BTW do you do deadlifts with lifting straps? I can do 5 x 5 140 kg deadlift with straps but only 105 kg without - now I do the exercise without the straps just to improve my grip strength.

Nice work. That sort of thing is excellent conditioning.

I use hooks for my heaviest lifts. I use my not quite as heavy work to get the grip work in.

Do your main sets with straps then do some timed holds or wrist work etc to bring up your grip.

I've been avoiding all leg work because I pulled the left hamstring, but it was time to try again today. Here's most of the journal entry:
