520, mixed grip- on Thursday, I think. Impossible (for me) without sites like JSF.

Whoa. Looks like we got the ball rolling now! Congratulations.

And yeah, if it weren't for JSF I probably wouldn't have gone for that. Can't say for sure because my trainers are pretty good, but JSF was a big help.

    Thank you. :)

I've been following this thread for a long time, but for a good period of time I was in training for a marathon and I wasn't doing much dead'ing.

Good luck to all others on the journey!

Hah, that sounds like a faaaaar way off. I'm currently @ 181 @ 11% bf, so I have a lot of momentum I can gain and still feel healthy, so I can see it happening.

But definitely quite a ways into the future.:tu:

Yeah there's only two ways you can go with lifts. They get heavier, or they get lighter.

One of those sounds better than the other.

I'm going to DL today but won't try the 445 I was hoping to this week. I had nose surgery last week (deviated septum) and don't want to push it too hard. Awesome lift Organichu!

Did you check with your doctor about lifting? Deadlifts raise the blood presure. I had oral surgery a while back and they said no working out for two weeks.

Yep, I sure did. I specifically asked about deads and squats and he said no problem. On a side note... I can't believe how big those nose stints are when they pulled them out! LOL

I've got quite a way to go, 400Ibs is my next short-term aim, 25Ibs to go.

500Ibs is more of a long term goal for me.................

Double my BW so not bad. Going to try a Rippetoe 5X5 scheme next 6 weeks and see how it goes.

At your age, that sort of thing normally goes pretty well. I see 400# in your very near future.

Was that a dungeon you were lifting in? I like what you've done with the place. Looks homey. :)

It's my garage, had to move the weights down there coz they were damaging the attic floor.
It's cool at night, gets really dark so I turn the light on and it feels atmospheric.;)
It was halloween when I lifted that too....
