    The classic line drawn in the sand. This powerlifting total separates the hobbyists from workhorses. A solid 1200 total will usually place you in the top three in local meets, so who is in it to win it?

    500 lb. Deadlift
    400 lb. Squat
    300 lb. Bench Press

    490 DL
    385 BSQ
    230 BP

    Okay... Got some major work to do on one of those. :doh:

    Setting the goal for the end of 2013 or sooner. :D

    Many moons ago, I took my bench from 245 to 295 in 8 weeks by crushing weighted dips and standing BB press....

    If your stick spot is about 4 inches off your chest, triceps and shoulders are your weak spot......like me.....:nod:

    Thanks for the tip. Right now, in my estimation, my sticking point is that I don't ever train the bench press. In fact I don't train the press much either. So, I have implemented the 5/3/1 system with a slight tweak. I'm doing the BBB assistance and adding in rows(Kroc style) and press/jerk movements.

    I'm hoping simply pressing will get me close to 300 quickly. :tu:

    Hit a new squat max today. New total looks like this:


    DL: 490
    BSQ: 400
    BP: 230

    One down...
