Looks like I'm in. Last week I pulled 1 rep at 375. I'll be knocking on the 400lb club's door as soon as I'm done cutting.

    I'm in for this.

Just like the 225 lb overhead press I am starting slow, a whole other lifetime ago I pulled 500+ plus so know I can do it. But in the intervening 15 years or so I have suffered some serious injuries and it is only in the last year or so that I have began to get serious about training again.
Last (and first session in prob over 7 years) deadlift session I did the following

    100 x 5 x 2 (warm up)
    135 x 6
    135 x 5
    145 x 5 x 3

Could have gone a lot heavier but taking it slow to build up form and confidence.

What I would really appreciate is some good advice on the following:
In between reps what is the concensus on standing up between each rep, getting ready and setting back for next rep, or do most do one continuos set of reps?

    Good jump today
    100 x 5 x 2 - warm-up
    135 x 5 x 2
    165 x 5
    180 x 5 x 3

Used a narrow grip and made sure form was spot on.
No effort at all but again working slow at this.

Well back into the swing of this now.
    100 x 5 x 2 - Warm up
    135 x 5 x 2
    157 x 4
    180 x 3
    202 x 3
    225 x 3
Good form and still felt strong enough to go again.
Going to slow jumps down now to 5 kg\11 lb jumps and then eventually 2.5 kg\5.5 lb jumps. Will look at adding a set every now and then and moving up rep range.

I did 235 lbs for reps of 5 yesterday. I'm trying to work toward a 315 lb deadlift for reps of 5. I think it will take me a couple of more months. Maybe a 315 lb deadlift for 5 equals a 350 lb for a single? I'll try to find out. Maybe ...:o It sure felt heavy yesterday. I'm nervous a stall is looming around the corner after some good linear progression. :(

    1/30/10
    135 x 5
    135 x 5
    160 x 5
    180 x 3
    205 x 2
    235 x 5

    135 x 5 x 2 - Warm Up
    180 x 5
    202 x 5
    225 x 4 x 2
    236 x 2
    247 x 2
    258 x 2
    270 x 2
    281 x 2

Massive jump in the last two weeks, felt I could have gone even heavier.
Considering I have not worked on this exercise for several years very happy with progress. :D
I feel that I have been really working on form
I keep my grip close into legs (before use to have a very wide grip)
Bar completley over center of feet
Left plenty in the tank for next time as well.

    Another decent jump
Warm up - using bar and several deep squats and stretches
    135 x 6 x 2
    180 x 5 x 2
    225 x 8
    270 x 5
    292.5 x 2
    304 x 2

Again left it feeling strong enough to go again.
Just another 10 - 12.5 kg each side and this challenge done.
Looking at 8 weeks to complete this

Almost there, felt very strong so went for it.

    135 x 6 x 2
    180 x 4 x 2
    225 x 4 x 2
    270 x 4
    315 x 2
    326 x 2
    338 x 1 :D

last set was hard but not impossible and here 1 hour later still feeling fresh, even grip was good.

Well off with the last weeks 8 week timeline, as long as no train wreck comes along looking at early April now.
    Looking forward to next week

Have to be careful what I post in future :D
Just read what I wrote last month and pride comes before a fall is true here.
Fortunately it was not a fall but in fact a combination 3 weeks of being ill and then procrastinating before getting back in.
Started back on this last week and was still able to hit 248 for 3 reps at the end with still some in the tank.
Will start tracking the week in week out efforts again this week after next deadlift session this Friday.
