The 1000 Club

    Choose your lifts and try to get them to a total of 1000.

    I am making a new thread because I am hoping to get more participation.....and I am looking in the direction of some of our badass women to join in as well....
    The previous thread was for the powerlifting competition totals. This thread is for anyone.
    Pick your lifts and improve toward that goal.

    If you want squat + deadlift + bench + overhead press.....let 'er rip!

    Want to do something insane like deadlift + squat.....you are a beast!

    How about something totally unique? Deadlift + squat + power clean....:eek:


    The whole idea.........LET'S GET STRONGER!!!! :spaz:

    I am first going after the traditional Deadlift + Squat + Bench

    Here is where I am right now:

    Deadlift: 315
    Squat: 245
    Bench: 265

    Total: 825

    I'm in for Dead/Squat/Bench

    Dead is 345
    Squat is 225
    Bench is 205
    -----
    775 leaves a bunch of work to be done!

    That said, I'm making good gains lately and yesterday front squatted 215 so I'm hoping 245 is in range. Deads I'm getting a few pounds a month.

    Bench has been stalled, but lots of pressing and some rep work at home hopefully will get me closer.

    Also tracking CFFB, aka crossfit football total

    CF Football Total
    Power Clean 1 Rep
    Squat 1 Rep
    Bench 1 Rep
    Deadlift 1 Rep
    *Perform a single max effort for the lifts listed above.
    *After warm-ups, 3 attempts are allowed.
    *Total must be done in the specified order.
    *Combine all 4 lifts to create CF Football Total

    This one is at 965 or so, and I'm sure I have 200lb power clean soon, and enough in the balance to put me into the 1000 club there. The catch is you have

    And here I thought it was a race to see who could eat 1000 calories first. I was gonna say I had this one in the bag!

    I had always thought this was out of reach for me. But after testing my 1RM's for the first time, I've come to find out that I BARELY made it! I'm currently wrapping up my 4th cycle of Wendler's 5/3/1 and have been lifting semi-regularly for about 5 years.

    1RM's tested May 2013
    Height 5'4" (shortie)
    Weight 175 lbs (still a fattie) :lol:

    Bench: 255
    Squat: 340
    Deadlift: 410

    Total: 1005

    This thread may prove to be entertaining in the long run. I'm in.

    First self-challenge:

    Deadlift+Squat.

    Current bests:

    Deadlift: 490
    Squat: 410

    Total: 900

    Adding 100 pounds asap. :D
