    4 pack? I like that.

    Assuming you mean 4 plates on the bar...

    :nod:

    Other milestones for you:
    - Squatting a 6-pack
    - Deadlifting an 8-pack

    Those will get you on your way to your 1000...

    I wish I could claim it as my own, but I got it from the late Bill Hicks.

    Been a while since I been on..

    Back now..

    Been back into it solidly for the past 2 months, and have made some solid strengh gains whilst cutting fat.

    Approximately 8 weeks of cutting left, before I bulk for a solid 16 weeks cleanly. That is when I expect the strenght to to come in :eat: :bb:

    Bench;
    Hit 220/225 today for 1 rep, only see it going up from here maybe 230/235 during the cut. Hoping for 275 during the bulk cycle.

    Deadlift;
    Haven't really trained these for single's lately, as im not tottally satisfied with form and don't want injury. 2 years ago I hit 315, I've only got stronger since then. So I estimate an 345 by the end of the cut (who knows where im at now). Shooting for 395-405 for the bulk cycle.

    Squat;
    Another un-known lift here, As I have mainly been using the smith machine for my squatting (lack of partner). Repping 200/220 for 6. But we all know the BB squat is much more difficult. I've got a workout partner now, so shooting for a 245 squat by the end of the cut and a 315 squat for the bulk cycle.

    With all this estimation/ goals placed I should with a lot of work reach a

    995 total ... So I will have to push extra hard in one of the lifts to gain an extra 5lbs..

    Im confident this can be reached with effective eating/ training/ sleeping.

    This really shows me the disproportion in my muscle mass. You're a strong ass dude from what I've gathered, yet I cannot come close to touching your dead or squat, but I'm sure I can easily hit the bench.

    Wish I had the other lifts where you do :bb:

    Hahah... my bench sucks! I've known that for ages. I'm trying to improve it. My lower body strength might be from muscle memory. When I was a kid I did lots of cycling and skateboarding, both of which use a lot more lower body than upper body.

    I think my height plays a role in it all as well. I have long arms which doesn't make it any easier to bench. But I have big legs, which helps my squat and deadlift.

    I was watching UK's Strongest Man recently. There was this guy James Fennelly*. Around my height, maybe an inch taller but much bigger obviously. He tried the viking press (140kg log press) and couldn't even get one rep. Shorter guys then came on and banged out up to 15. But when it came to the deadlift he pulled 340kg and made it look easy where the other guys were struggling around 280kg.

    At the end of the day it's all individual mechanics. My bench is never going to be that great. Hopefully, my deadlifts will really shine though.

    Oh, and I have 10kg more on that deadlift. So that makes it about 855lbs altogether now.

    i know its 2009, but i'm guessing it's still OK to post in here :)

    405 + 315 + 225 = 945 :tu:
    bw = 156-158

    i'm not sure where i'm going to be able to add another 55# from though. i think my deads are pretty much maxed out right now and i'm going to work on volume. my squats... maybe another 20# or so for a max but again, I'm going to be working mostly on volume. It took me forever to hit 225# on flat bench so I reeeeeeeeeally don't see that one going up anytime soon. Ah well, if I keep at it I may get there yet by the end of 2009 :)

    Bench = 215
    Squat = 330
    Deadlift = 320

    Total = 865

    Aiming to hit it by the end of the year, I think I should be okay, my deadlift was limited by my grip, but I'm sorting that out now.

    Squat - 305

    Total - 935

    Bench - 225
    Dead - 405
    Squat - 315

    Total: 945

    I dunno if I can make it in 2009, but it's going to be close. My squat PR was actually 315 x 2 so I think I can get another 5-15lbs. That means I need 30 more on the bench if I don't improve my dead. :scared:

    Near miss on a new dead PR at 415 - got the bar off the floor to my knees, but couldn't get it the rest of the way. Close tho..

    Also almost had a 230 on flat bench, lowered under control and got it about 5" off my chest. If I had a spotter I think I could've nailed it.
