I wasn't able to get home in time to workout yesterday, so it seemed like a good reason to max out today (I don't know how I figured). It's a couple workouts sooner than I expected, but oh well. Here's how I did:

Squat - 375lbs (back caved a bit on the way up, but it was a decent lift still. I didn't wait long between the previous warmup set, that might've caused it)

Benchpress - 245lbs (slightly tweaked form, 235lbs went up very clean, I touch the chest, pause slightly, then press up with no back arch. 245lbs less symmetry between arms and a slightly longer pause at the sticking point)

Deadlift - 330lbs (man, that was heavy. In constant contact with my shins and thighs, no pause on the thighs. As far as I know, it was a good lift)

Total: 950lbs. Deadlift was way lower than I thought, squats were about where I wanted, and bench was a bit better than I expected. I'm pretty satisfied, I'll be to 1,000 in no time. 20lbs to my squat, 10lbs to my bench, and 20lbs to my deadlift won't take too long.

Edit: I just noticed it says I'm 16 years old, I guess I entered my birthdate wrong. In reality, I'm 15 years old as of now.

    Great work. :tucool:

Though, what was your depth on that squat? That deadlift is pretty low in comparison. You should be able to pull significantly more than that, even after hitting a max squat.

The depth on the squat was a good deal past parallel. My back is just weak as of now, which I know. After a few more weeks on the current program I'm on, I'm going to be switching to a much more deadlift-intensive program.

Given your bench, your squat is a little low. Your deadlift is the best target for improvement though. Work on that a bit and it should go up quite a bit; the point is you will get well over 1000# if you focus on the deadlift.

And as wonderful as squats are, there's nothing wrong with focus on the deadlift for a while.

Indeed, I'd like to get my deadlift up to at least the same level as my squat, and my bench is going up considerably slower than my squat, so it'll even out eventually. Hopefully within a few months.

Edit: Also, I'm very certain I'll be able to get to 1000 and well beyond. I'm only 15 and started working out pretty recently, so I think I still have plenty of room to improve.

    Another PR on bench today....

    Deadlift: 355
    Squat: 285
    Bench Press: 285
    Current Total: 925

Once I get my spinal erector situation ironed out, I expect to get 1000 inside 2 months....just don't know when the spinal erectors are going to play nice again...

Replace dead lift with Power clean or Clean and Jerk.

That'll give you something more to work for!

    Nice bench press Michael.
How about replacing squat with squat clean. That puts me at 890.

    Thanks Pete!

    Wow...

That would officially make you a resident of animal-ville....
I might be able to pull that off by the end of 2009....or never....

I think to be considered a beast or a part of animal-ville, I would have to have a 500 dead, 400 squat, and 300 bench.

    Bench Press: 230
    Power Clean: 240
    Conventional Deadlift: 430
    Total: 900

    Bench - 175
    Squat - 250
    Deadlift - 355

    780

Long ways to go, but I'm going to make it.

    Gaaaah. Pretty close.

    Deadlift - 300lbs
    Bench - 300lbs
    Squat - 370lbs

All based on what I have lifted, and not what the 1RM calculator says.

    970 lbs. :tu:

    Deadlift: 385
    Squat: 315
    Bench: 225
    Total: 925

Finally got 3 plates on the squat, next target is 4 plates on the deadlift, I feel I can get that soon. My bench is really struggling
