Use some of your orange belt skills to put a whooping on that troll. Stay strong Jay, hour by hour if you have to.

It takes a while for old habits to start to wither and then die. During the first few days of the challenge when I found myself in a situation where I most likely would have had a useless drink in December, such as when cooking dinner or hanging out pointlessly watching the boob tube afterwards (something else I've cut out in 2009), and now I wasn't it was hard to get the idea out of having one out of my head. Now, less than a week later, those thoughts have subsided somewhat and while they still surface I'm confident that they will diminish as time goes on. At least I hope so. :)

I've also been sleeping better. It's taking me longer to fall asleep, but once I do, it's certainly a better one.

    Stomp him Jay!

As I wrote above, me too.

I had nothing to drink yesterday and I will have no alcohol today.

    Hanging tough in the southwest.

Went out wheeling yesterday for a few hours.

Ran in to some people that were drinking beer on the trail. (I don't condone drinking while in any type of motorized vehicle). the Beer didn't even smell enticing.

The Troll must be tempting someone else right now, hasn't been in Tucson in a few days!!

    Well, 1/3 of the way.

Congrats to all participating and hanging in there.:claplow:

No drinks for me still. Although I must admit I was tempted after that depressing chargers loss to the steelers  Oh well at least I didn't drink  Hope everyone else is still going strong :D

    +1

I have not had a drink in almost 4 months, and I've never felt better or slept better in my life. I'm not saying that I won't ever drink again, however I will no longer drink on any kind of a regular basis. With rare exceptions, vacations and holidays only for me.

I really think these challenges are a great addition to JSF. :tucool:

Half way!! :spaz: No drinks so far.

I need to add a no more bad food challenge. It's been restaurant week here in san diego and I've been eating out a lot. Last night I had two Prime 4 oz Filet Mignon with Port Wine Demi Glace and Blue Cheese Crumbles  Damn it was good but not for the gut :nope: Maybe a no bad food challenge for february?

WHOA I almost slipped up last night.

My wife has all sorts of wines, and I grabbed her glass of wine and took a big whiff (I enjoy the smells), this one smelled particularly good, so I was going to have a sip and see how it tasted, and RIGHT before I did, I remembered I signed up for this challenge! So I said, it would have to wait, and put it down!

Also, without thinking that would have been against my food plan too! Yikes! Thanks for saving me guys! Again 'just a sip' wouldn't have had consequences for me but I'm glad I didn't :) I like to start a challenge and finish it - and historically I'm not too good at that.

Sadly, I succumbed on Sunday so I won't be able to say that my adherence was perfect for the month. :(:bang:

What I will be able to say is that I had only one screw up for the month as I'm determined to not have anything to drink for the remainder of the month.

I had no alcohol yesterday and will have none today.

Kudos to all who have persisted this far!
