SNC - Sober November Challenge

    This is a continuation of the Sober October Challenge.

    The rule is pretty simple; no alcoholic beverages for the month. I figured we could use the "100 Challenge" point system, which means you start out with 100 points and for every drink you have you subtract one point. The goal would be to still have 100 by the end of the month.

    Example:

    November 3

    I had three beers today during the evening.
    -3 Points
    Total: 97 Points

    Hopefully no one has 0 points by the end of the month! :nono:

    November begins on Saturday. So buckle up, the wagon is leaving.

    I wound up getting a bit drunk last night, and really didn't enjoy it. I also didn't like having a headache and feeling a bit sick when I woke up. I can't beleive I used to do that to myself so often. November first is booze free for this guy.

    100 points.

    So far no drinks. It's only been two days and I never realized how often people offer to go drinking. I've said no a few times this weekend.

    Count me in. I'm cutting smoking too. I can't say about slippage on the 27th-30th though. We'll see.

    Yeah, I hope this goes well for me. I've never had to say no to a beer when one was presented to me and I wanted to drink. Usual scenario:

    Person: "Hey, want a beer?"
    Me: "I've got a better question. Why isn't one already in my hand?"

    That only happens over the weekends though. I'll have no problem during the weekdays at all. Holidays will be tough also.

    Me too Gray, I haven't had a smoke in almost two months and I have had almost no cravings for one in the last few weeks. I am actually so disgusted by the sight/smell of them that it has been fairly easy. Hope you can beat the habit, it really is a huge ball and chain.

    I'm in! Though my goal ends on Thanksgiving as I would like to have some wine with the family. I am actually taking this challenge to see if I can finally get below the 190lbs barrier I always hit & without loosing muscle. Also want to see what effects my consumption may have on my BP as this has risen within the last couple of years.

    I hear ya, while I watched some movies last night and stewed about work, all I wanted to do was knock a few back. I didn't though. How goes not smoking? I haven't had a smoke since mid september still. I think I can finally consider myself a non-smoker
