    I am. :tucool:

It's been fun and we're having a good time. :)

    Update

Dear son and I will be leaving for the gym in about twenty minutes. I'm sticking with the same routine as Monday with some adjustments to the weights on the exercises that I was able to complete all of the necessary reps.

With the increase in weights on about half the exercises my time in the gym was more challneging than Monday; it's all good as that's the way it should be.

Gripper work will be done in about an hour.

For the first time in over a week I laced up my running shoes and hit the pavement. It wasn't pretty, but I did a 3.5 mile loop. I have no pace information as I ran without my Garmin.

Dear son's appointment to get his braces off is in fifteen minutes so I have to keep this short.

    Have a great day!

Shamie, no I haven't. My feet aren't giving me any problems so I don't want to change anything. It ain't broke so I'm not looking to fix it.

    Update

Dear son is braceless for the first time in four years. We celebrated by going out for sushi. :eat:

I wish somebody would tattoo that second sentence onto my psyche. I can't seem to go a full week without making multiple changes.

Good for him! I'll bet he is one happy camper right now. By the way... what's with you guys and the sushi? You seem to get really pumped about it.

I'll tweak my lifting scheme every few weeks or so and make wholesale changes a few times per year, but am less prone to change things when it comes to running. I have a history of over use injuries so even when training for a marathon I'm conservative.

Thanks and yes, he's quite happy. Sushi.....we just like it, but don't go for it very often due to the cost. My kids can eat as much if not more than me and wifey so it always becomes a triple digit $$ meal when the four of us go to dinner.

It's a polarizing cuisine; you don't find many who are just so so with it. For years wifey wouldn't eat any of the raw offerings, but eventually found some that she really likes.

I am beginning to see a pattern of overuse in my weight lifting. That is why I keep struggling with my propensity to change things on a whim. It will be the death of me(more likely end in an injury, but hey...). I really need to find a plan and stick to it much like you do with your running.

I'm right there. Give me well cooked dead cow, please... and a sweet potato.

    :D

Understanding that sometimes less is more is a hard concept to grasp and I think that having a diversity of exercise options helps avoid falling into such a situation while still allowing the person to be active almost every day.

    Exactly.

Don't get me wrong; I like cooked dead cow also. Sweet potato also. :tucool:

    Update

I'll be leaving for the gym with the kids in about 30 about 30 minutes. After that most of the day will be devoted to vacation preparations.

I had a solid last workout before vacation this morning. Aside from barbell shrugs and curls I wasn't able to get a fifth rep on the third set of any of the five other exercises so I have my work cut out for me when I return. Gripper work will be done this afternoon and I plan to bring them with me. I won't be lifting, but I'm bringing my bicycle and running shoes and intend to do some form of cardio every day.

    TGIF!
