Went for a two mile walk/run this AM.

I've gotten the results of all my medical tests with the exception of one because it was inconclusive. The results I have gotten were all good :dance:and I need to have a consultation with another specialist to discuss what to do about the test that could not be read.

    Thanks Mac.

    Update

I just got back from the gym and we did four rounds of:

    Db squat presses
An exercise where you lean backward with your legs out straight and move them over two cones without touch the floor
    Kb squats
    Heavy ropes
Step ups while holding a Db shoulder height in each hand
    Two arm Kb swings

There will likely be a walk with wifey and dear dog this afternoon.

I was alone for dinner last night so I just foraged in the refrigerator.

    Have a great day!

    Thank you!

    Update

    Four rounds this morning of:

    Kb single arm rows
    Bicycles
Slamming a sledgehammer against a giant tire
Stability roll outs with knee thrusts
    Push ups
    Kb deadlifts
    Ball slams

No cooking last night because wifey and I went for a casual dinner at a relatively new empanada restaurant in town and then we went to a concert. We got home by about 11:30 and chatted with dear son and a friend for about 30 minutes and after she left I talked with dear son for about 45 minutes, so it turned into a later night than usual.

Our plans are to eat at home, but regardless I'm about to throw a rack of ribs on my kamado grill.

    Have a great day!

That looks like a tough work out followed by a nice evening out and in.

It was a fine evening and, yes, a tough workout.

    Update

    Three rounds this morning of:

    Db goblet squats
    Db flat bench presses
    Db bench rows
    Push ups
    Standing Db curls
    Planks
An exercise where you lay (lie???) on your stomach and lift your right arm and left leg and then switch sides
An exercise similar to the above, but you lift all four limbs at once

Dinner last night was ribs with a side of coleslaw.

    Have a great day!

Two separate walks today totaling about 3.5 miles. First one was to meet a friend for breakfast and the second was to do a couple of errands.

Dinner last night was steak with edamame. No cooking for me tonight because we're taking a friend and her husband to dinner to celebrate her birthday.

    Have a great day!

Another day of walking a few miles and I plan on about 40 push ups later this afternoon.

Last night's birthday dinner celebration was a lot of fun and the guest of honor really appreciated all of us showing up. Not the healthiest of meals as there was cheese and Italian meat platters involved, but it was sure tasty and one day isn't going to wreck anything. My entrée was seared octopus and I also had a slice of b'day cake. Oh yeah, there was a martini involved. :-) We didn't get home to almost 11 so tonight will likely be an early evening after a dinner at home.

    Have a great day!

That's a GREAT attitude, one day if truly only one day won't matter in the long term but matters a lot for that day and that celebration.

    Well played.

Thanks for your quote. Yesterday I was back to my usual routine. More below.

    Update

I walked about 3.5 miles yesterday and did two sets of 20 push ups. Not exactly Olympian, but better than nothing.

Dinner last night was mustard covered salmon with a side of tri color cous cous. Wifey is hosting her book club tonight so while I may help with some food prep I won't be doing any cooking and I'll be meeting dear son for dinner at a local restaurant.

In the interest of full disclosure, about 4 PM yesterday I started not feeling well and by the time we ate dinner, about 7:30, I was definitely a bit unstable. Wifey and dear son were both thinking I was drunk, which was not the case, and I went to bed shortly after finishing dinner. Weird and not the first time so I'm going to place another call to my doctor to see if there is some other tests I can take to get some clarity about what is going on.

    Have a great day!

The fall and now this drunkenness feeling is what a friend's of mine experiences with vertigo. They don't know what initiates it but it started as once then another one and note it is a few days once or twice a year. Her doctor thinks it's sinus related but there is never conclusive proof.

Thanks for that information; nothing like that has come up with my discussions with my doctors.

    Update

Today is going to be a scheduled rest day.

Last night dear son and I went to a good friend's restaurant for dinner so the book club ladies could do their thing at our house. Our dinner was fine, but sadly when we showed up at 7 we were the only two customers. Around 7:30 a group of four showed up. Hopefully business will improve, but every time we go there it seems as if there are fewer patrons.

Dinner at home tonight and a small probability of going to a concert afterward. Hiking club tomorrow AM and then a concert at night at a very intimate venue. More details to come.

Hope you find out the reason for your health issue, and it turns out to be nothing serious.

Thanks for your sentiment. I have no further medical information. Odd and a somewhat scary for sure.

Yesterday wifey and I had a very enjoyable hike with our hiking club. Quite scenic and not terribly challenging although I had some trouble navigating a rocky part of the path near the end. To compensate I just went slower, took some extra consideration about my course, and when needed held on to a tree. All told we walked 6.5 miles so be happy you weren't in a Fitbit challenge with wifey. :-) No falls so all was good, but my right hip isn't entirely happy this morning. Despite that, going to a friend's b'day party, and a lousy sleep last night, I was at the gym and had a decent workout. We did four rounds of:

    Heavy ropes
Db squats with a curl and shoulder press
    Ball slams
    Sledge hammer against a tire
Low planks with a drag of cones
    Renegade rows
    Kb squats

In other news, on our way home from the hike we got a call from dear son telling us he was in a car accident. From the position of the cars (dear son took photos) and the police report he was not at fault, but it doesn't matter as we live in a no fault state. Fortunately nobody was hurt and he and his friend are feeling okay today. Based on my perception of the damage and knowing the book value of the car I believe the insurance company will consider it totaled, but probably won't know until Tuesday.

    Have a great day!

When there was no update yesterday, I thought you fell off the mountain.:)

    Glad your son was okay.

Saturday was just too filled with stuff to get on my computer.

    Thanks about my son.

Yes and yes. Thank you. I spent most of the morning dealing with the aftermath with more to come and now it's up to the insurance company to decide what to do. Ironically, I was planning on selling the car; it was the one we bought dear daughter in 2010 and when she moved to Boston she didn't take and we don't need three cars. Whatever transpires, this was not anticipated, but all will work out.

    Update

Today should have been a gym day, but as I alluded to above there was a lot of time spent dealing with the towing company, getting personal things out of the car, and two different people at my insurance company. I did take the time to do two sets of fifteen pushups and two one minute planks so I wasn't a total slug, but I could have made it to the gym if I was truly motivated.

Dinner last night was chicken thighs that I baked plain because dear son bought a fifteen sampler bottle set of different hot sauces and we tried a number of them on the chicken, sweet peas, and black rice that I cooked. Lot of fun.

    Have a great day!

Exercise for the day is going to be taking dear dog for a walk. I've let her out in the back yard to let her fruitily chase squirrels and birds, but it's as if some gave her a large cup of coffee so I need to have her expend some more energy before she drives me nuts.

Dinner last night was pork chops and we once again used the sampler pack of hot sauces that dear son bought. The side dish was green beans, which has been a favorite of late.

In non fitness news, for the past week or so I've been trying to secure lodging for next year's Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Dear son grew up as a huge Derek Jeter fan and if Jeter doesn't get elected it will be a HUGE shock. So just like my father took me forty years ago to see my childhood baseball idol get inducted I wanted to do the same for dear son. The issue was that anywhere close to Cooperstown wanted a three night minimum and unless you wanted to camp the nightly rate was between $1100 and $2500. Not happening, so I found a place almost equidistant between where dear daughter and her BF live and we do and although it's about two hours from Cooperstown and I'm sure it's going to be somewhat of PIA getting to the ceremony that morning to save a few thousand dollars I'll deal with it.

    Have a great day!
