Exercise for the day so far was a three mile walk. I may take dear dog out for a walk this afternoon. I'm a little sore on my right side from yesterday's workout, but it's nothing that's going to stop me from doing anything physical and I'm sure I'll be fine in a day or so.

Dinner last night was pork tenderloin seasoned with mango chutney and the side was roasted brussels sprouts with bacon.

    Have a great day!

Got the day started with five rounds of:

    Ball slams
    Db squat presses
    Explosive step ups
    Kb swings

That was followed with two rounds of medicine ball fun:

Sit ups while holding the ball toward the ceiling
Leg raises while holding the ball toward the ceiling
    Russian twists

And then because one can never have too much fun at the gym there were three rounds of:

Walk outs with a push up
    Up downs

As has been the case of late there was very little rest.

Dinner last night was corned beef and cabbage. My original thought when corning the brisket was to make pastrami, but once it was ready and noticing how close we are to St. Patrick's Day I decided to change plans.

    Have a great day!

    Four rounds this AM of:

    Elephant walk outs
    Db squat presses
Another hopping thing that I couldn't get the sequence to
    Drop dead push ups
    Db two point rows
    Low plank around the worlds
    Kneeling Kb shoulder circles

We then did two rounds of:

    Leg raises
    Bicycles
    High planks
    Crunches

Dinner last night was chicken thighs marinated in Italian dressing and grilled with some cherry wood and served with an arugula salad.

    Have a great day!

Recently there's been an increase in food talk for sure. I'll reveal tonight's dinner tomorrow. :-)

Feeling good after this morning's workout and with the weather supposed to be decent tomorrow I'm thinking of lacing 'em up and going for a run. Short and slow, but one has to start somewhere.

I ran a mile this morning. Embarrassing and no Garmin so no data. Not much else to say about that.

Dinner last night was turkey meatballs that I cooked on my Kamado grill with some mesquite wood. They were served over spaghetti squash that was seasoned with garlic, parmesan cheese, and pepper.

It's going to be a fun and busy weekend, but tonight we're staying home.

    TGIF!

Thanks. As it turned out with got together with friends who live across the street for a couple of hours. Still, an early evening as we were home a little after 10.

    Update

Four rounds with no rest of:

    Mountain climbers on gliders
    Ball slams
    Db two point rows
    TRX table top rows
    Rower
    Db squat presses
    Heavy ropes

No cooking last night as we had leftovers before going to our friends. There will no cooking tonight because we're going to a party to celebrate a friend's birthday. Rumor has it that the main course will be corned beef and cabbage.

    Have a great day!

    Four rounds of:

    Db two point rows
    Drop dead push ups
    Heavy ropes
    TRX table top rows
    Lateral box runs
    Right side planks
    Burpees
    Left side planks

Lots of fun last night celebrating our friend's birthday. I'm quite bloated from the corned beef and cabbage and the too many appetizers I ate. There will be more of that today at my BIL's house after we attend a St. Patrick's Day parade.

Today is the 31st anniversary of my mother's death and we'll be leaving soon to visit her grave before heading to the parade.

    Have a great day!

Enjoy the parade. Good thing you got that workout in; now you can enjoy a little more of that corned beef and cabbage :eat:

It's nice that you remember your mother by visiting the cemetery.

    Ditto.

    Enjoy the parade.

Funny that corned beef and cabbage is a once a year food, sort of like a Thanksgiving turkey.

Thanks guys. It was a good day spent with wifey, my kids, and extended family. As for the food side of things my portion control was better than on Saturday. :-)

Indeed, corned beef is associated with St. Patrick's Day much as turkey is with Thanksgiving.

    Update

I almost didn't go to the gym today; I was just plain tired from the weekend although no single event was late, rowdy, or involved drinking more than one drink. Of course I was glad I went.

Dinner tonight is going to be cod with a side salad. Not sure yet what the preparation will be.

    Have a great day!

Per my usual, there will be no moving of iron today. I did a short walk this morning to meet a friend for breakfast and later I'll take dear dog on a walk.

I wound up baking last night's cod in lemon juice and butter and serving a garden salad as well as some pasta seasoned with parmesan cheese and EVOO.

    Have a great day!

    Four rounds this morning of:

    Lateral box runs
    Wood chopper ball slams
    Push ups
    Kb swings
    Db goblet squats
    Heavy ropes
    Slider mountain climbers

Dinner last night was a chuck roast I bought on sale and sous vided for most of the day before oven roasting it. The accompaniment was sautéed spinach. Dinner is undecided, but I'm currently making beef jerky that will be ready later today.

    Have a great day!

    Four rounds this morning of:

    Single arm Db squat presses
    Rower
    Db floor presses
    Kb Romanian dead lifts
    High plank Kb drags
    Heavy ropes
    TRX table top rows

I started off slowly and didn't have a great first round, but did fine for the last three.

Dinner last night was shrimp in a glaze of honey, garlic, soy sauce, butter, and black pepper. The side was textured vegetable protein. Dear son is going out with friends tonight so I may take advantage of that and make something with a curry sauce. A couple of days ago I bought a leg of lamb and that will most likely be the protein.

    Have a great day!

I'll use it sometimes because we don't eat too many carbs at dinner.

    Update

I'm going to hit the gym in a short while to move some iron with plans for a push/pull upper body workout. Depending upon the weather and ground conditions wifey and I won't be at the gym tomorrow because we'll be with our hiking club. Without a doubt it's going to be muddy, but I guess that's better than last month's icefest.

One day I'll be consistent with using restraint and not posting dinner plans until the day after because it seems that there's an inordinate amount of instances when I post beforehand and plans change. Last night was no exception and wifey and I wound up going to one of my favorite restaurants in town. Casual, very good food, very nice portions, and easy on the wallet. I won't be cooking tonight because we're going out for our wedding anniversary.
