When I right click on any object to try to save it to my computer, it always tries to save it as a bitmap, even though I know the file is a gif or a jpg.

Even in the little drop down Save As Type: box, the otions are not there to save as a jpg.

Is there something simple I can tweak to enable my computer to listen to me?

    This should work
    Method 1
Delete the temporary Internet files. To do so, click Tools, click Options, click the General tab, and then click the Delete Files button.

Note To locate the Temporary Internet Files folder, click Options on the Tools menu, click the General tab, and then click Settings. The current location appears in the Settings dialog box.

    Thanks fujo. Problem solved.

Thanks GM. I'll keep it in mind. But I'm not fond of learning new things.

I would install it and take a look. It works just like Internet Explorer..but doesn't have a lot of the problems. You can always uninstall it ;)

IMO it is the best browser currently available.
