Yes-steroids can be used to lean out extremely quickly. Some allow for muscle retention while on an extremely low-calorie diet. Of course, Ryan's results are impressive but nothing extraordinary in the time he had, as has been said many times. Lindsay?-steroids, starvation diet. same thing. It's sad the extremes she's gone to; I thought she was gorgeous before.

14-15%. Was this taken when he was 12 years old?

In the "before" pic it looks to me like you can tell hes got good potential. You can see his abs a bit, and what shape they will take up when larger, and other shit. Six months progress for that, to me is amazing, because Ive made fuck all progress in much longer than that

I agree. In that pic he has a good frame and he isn't totally muscle-less. There is a hint of it on his arms ;) Many have started with much less potential.

It could be a misprint, but it's probably just a mistake. Either way it's wrong. A lot of people have no idea what different body fat levels look like, and what's reasonably attainable. I've been in situations where kids have angrily refused to believe that their friend was any more than 2% body fat.

Isn't anything under 5% a major health risk? We have fat for a reason, it lines our organs and keeps our skin healthy. If you were at 3% BF you'd feel like shit all day long, on top of looking like it.

I had read another similar thread on this awhile back, and someone stated that it was a misprint. They said that the diet used was used to drop 3% bodyfat, rather than achieve it. I don't know how much truth there is, but it would make much more sense.

Ah, the perks of being rich. Ridiculously good personal trainer. Specially prepared meals and specialized diet. Lots of time to spend in the gym. Access to top notch supplements.

Oh, and a few million bucks and the opportunity to sleep with lots of beautiful Hollywood people.

I'd let the paparazzi bother me

Ryan Reynolds has a wicked shape. Van Wilder was is in 2002 - Balde 2004. It's very easy to see that change in two years. Good nutrition and consistent workouts. As you can see in 2002 he wasn't as bulked, but you could see the potentional.

Flattering high contrast overhead lighting helps as well.
