TRM and I have decided to embark on another challenge. :madpimp:

I am running a marathon on January 17th, and Jason will be running 26.2 with me, whether it be in person, here in AZ, or on his own. January 15th will be the last day of the challenge, and will therefore be the day Jason will be required to pay up! We will both train for the marathon by running four times per week. We will also have three weight lifting sessions per week.

The challenge will be points-based. Here's how it's goin' down:

    We will earn
    • five points for each of the four runs.
    • three points for each of the three weight lifting sessions.

We will lose three points for any missed runs or weight lifting sessions. :scared:

Our weeks will start on Mondays. For the remainder of this week (Wed-Sun) we will need to lift weights once and run twice. We will post points earned or lost daily, and we will post any weight-loss weekly.

When I win, we will all get to see Jason in a teddy.

Somehow I don't remember this being part of the deal!

IF?? I will win....you'd think LSC would have learned her lesson from the previous challenge. I will think of something good!

Good luck to both of you.

Am I understanding this correctly? LSC, you've already signed up for the marathon in Phoenix on Jan. 17 and either Jason will run that event with you or on that day he'll run 26.2 miles in his neighborhood. Or is Jason running in another organized marathon on that date?

    Thanks Paul...to answer your question...

I have not signed up for any particular marathon, yet!:D I really wanted the Richmond marathon to be my first 26.2 but that's in Nov. but I will look and see what else is out there. If I don't sign up for one I will run 26.2 on my own.

Gotcha. Just trying to stay informed. :D

Yesterday due to something that Bmac referenced I got on the RunnersWorld.com website and stumbled across this article about highly rated, but lower profile marathons. On page three there was mention of Richmond.

The following week is Philly, which was also mentioned, and I am toying with running it again.

Wow... I don't know how you folks do it. I get tired putting my pants on in the morning.

Good luck to both of you!

I haven't been updating daily like I'm supposed to. :o

Since the beginning of the challenge I have gotten in one run, and I've lifted weights once. So, when I run tonight, I'll fill all of the first week's requirements.
