Sorry for the delay, its been a busy week. On a plus note, I tested out of one of my classes so that frees up some time. I don't have a goal weight as much as just the bf %, but 190 sounds good for now.
Count me in! I am new to this site and have just signed on with Swolecat. I am 180lbs and I will put my goat at 160.
Glad to have you! I've heard good things about Swolecat and I'm sure you'll hit your goal in no time. If anyone else wants to join there's still time! Feel free to hop aboard.
101.4kg for me this week. Not sure what happened, it seemed a fairly good week. We'll see what this week brings!
Morning all. Here are my stats for inclusion this week as of 23rd Sept 07 @ 07:30am GMT Weight : 211 lbs Waist : 37.5 inches Estimated Body Fat : 18.1% (I think this is too low) (This was taken by using the body fat calculator on www.healthcentral.com) I have a proper body fat test being done on Thursday evening this week, so I will have a more accurate reading for next weeks stats. Thanks haleygirl8, We had a great time Keep up the hard work everyone
Back from vacation, doing ski and horses riding in Chile. I'm now at 94.2 kg, though we'll see whether it persists, or is it just some liquids lost from all the flights. I'll post the BF% during the weekend.
216.8 this morning. I guess I'll round it up to 217. Slow but steady! Hoping for 215 by Fri. Keep up the good work!
hey, sorry, i was away on a trip for a while, no exercise, poor diet, but the stats are still the same (and i'm in last place)
Sorry for the update delay. I'm down to 199 lbs...but thats mainly because I've been sick for the past week. My bf% might have went down a bit, but my readings are all over the place. I'm feeling a lot better today, so I've just been trying to rest since I'm so busy.
Well I had my body fat test down tonight at the gym. It was calculated by two different methods. 1. Scales (not sure of the name, began with T, but they measure body fat as well as weight) 2. Calipers with measurements from bicep, tricep, back and waist. He did this twice. After a few calculations (I got confused at this stage and let him do his stuff!!), he came up with a total of 29%. Way over the figure I got with the online tests etc.. that I have done. I feel thinner and think I look it when I look in the mirror and I could do with another notch put in my belt, but I can only really go with the results I suppose. He did mention that the main part of my bf was on my back and that the BF% of my waist and my back were pretty similar. Which is a good thing apparently. (?? Anyone??) It'll knock my score down a bit but the only person I'm competing against is me. I've got another test booked for early November so we will see how it goes then. I'm thinking, as long as my waist measurements keep coming down I must be losing fat. I should update my progress photo aswell. All the best.
Why would you want to use this reading in the challenge? After all, it is the dynamics we're looking at here, not the absolute figures (which might be wrong anyway - either up or down). I'd stick with the method I'm used to, if the readings make sense and match your feelings about your BF loss process over time.
Have room for one more? As of yesterday my weight was 236.8 so I will just put a start weight in at 237. 27%BF according to my scale, don't know how accurate the thing is. I would like to hit 200 by Dec. 1st but that might be a bit much so I'll go with 210.
I'm not sure what you mean there fella? Most of the people who signed up to this challenge have posted their BF%, including yourself??
Sure! Do you have a goal bodyfat or do you just want to go by the amount of weight lost for the challenge?
