Push and Pull the Fatty

    This idea was inspired by an accomplishment I read about in Ecrivain's public journal. He managed to bust out 2 reps of his heaviest body weight on deadlift.

    So I got to thinking of ways to have fun with something like this. I figured one way would be to add in squats as well. Then I thought about it and realized that I am fairly close to being able to squat and deadlift my heaviest BW (336 lbs) already. So not a huge challenge(a challenge nonetheless, but not a long one).

    So I think I've got something here...

    The goal is to squat and deadlift the heaviest body weight. This body weight will be determined by the person who participates that has the heaviest 'heavy weight.' The catch is that the person with the heaviest 'heavy weight' needs to be able to push(squat) and pull(deadlift) that weight themselves or it won't be counted as the contest weight.

    My heaviest BW was 336 lbs.
    I can manage 365 lbs for 5 reps on squat.
    I can manage 310 lbs for a 1RM on deadlift.

    Person #2 has a 'heavy weight' of 325 lbs
    They have a 1RM of 330 lbs on squat.
    They can get 5 reps at 345 lbs on deadlift.

    Person #3 has a heavy weight of 245 lbs
    They have a 1RM of 330 on squat.
    They can manage 2 reps at 375 lbs on dealift.

    The challenge weight would default to 325 lbs since I cannot get 336 lbs on deadlift and all other heavy weights are less.

    Make sense?

    I'm going to put a time frame on this, since the challenge weight is dependent on the people participating.

    This challenge will run until the end of 2011. Entry into the challenge is open until August 31, 2011(just to make sure that a target to aim at is there early enough to develop a plan to hit it).

    Primary challenge: Deadlift and Squat the group's heaviest body weight
    Secondary challenge: DL and Squat your own heaviest body weight.
    Honor challenge: DL and Squat your own body weight.
    On acceptance of this challenge, please post both your heaviest weight and your current body weight, and I will add it to the list of participants. :D
