New life, new start, new thread. I am living in a great apartment, have a great relationship with my daughter, I'm doing well at work, have expanded my network of friends, and I've rebuilt my body. Along with the new body, I've got new confidence, more energy than ever, and I'm dating an enjoying life. In short, I've never been better!

Actually, I just tore my achilles tendon and had to have surgery, but I am still good. Turns out the antibiotic Cipro causes tendon ruptures, and I've had 4 tendon ruptures while on Cipro. It's all good, cast is off and I am in a walking boot and keeping in shape.

And after lots of hard work, attention to diet, and a fair amount of Crossfit.

Hi Kevin! Nice to see you posting and I'm very happy for you with the exception of the injury.

Huge diff between the two pictures!

    Amaaaaazing difference in the pictures.

    Hope the Achilles heals well.

    Glad you are doing well.

Interesting about cipro and torn ligaments. I will have to keep that in mind.

Here are some of the interesting articles I've found on Cipro:

I got my cast off on Monday (yay!!) and then immediately drove to my ex wife's to take her for back surgery. She had her L4 and L5 vertebrae fused in a 3 hour surgery, and I stayed with her through recovery and got her home the next day. My daughter is staying with her to make sure she is okay and getting all of her meds. Several friends think I was stupid to take her since she's the one who left, but she is the mother of my daughter and I see no reason to have a nasty relationship with her. And I'm a firm believer in karma, so if I put out good vibes, they will come back to me.

My abs are looking soggy after a trip to Chicago and the Thanksgiving holiday. Time for a couple of weeks of reduced calories.....and no alcohol or sugar. Coupled with upping my workouts, I should be looking sharp again in two weeks.

    Well Played. :tu:

I never understand the fighting especially when kids are involved. I always think people should put it behind them and move on.

You are so sweet, and that means so much coming from you.

It's behind me and I've moved on!
Thanks Dude! Great to be back!
I actually thought about that song as I was going through all of this.
I feel like I'm back with my family after a long absence. Thanks Jaer.
Thanks Paul. I'm in a new place in life, but I think I survived with my soul in tact.

I saw the post and I have to say I got a huge smile. Like Jaer said our little JSF family is checking in here and there and it makes me happy!

    You look amazing! Great changes!

Sorry to hear about the achilles but happy to hear the cast is off.

Your a good man. Going back to help you ex says a lot about you as a person. I believe in karma as well. You both can agree on one thing is the love for your daughter that both have for her. Showing her you are grown adults and can move forward says a lot and makes her life much happier as well.

Glad to see your back. Keep posting!

i saw your post on seltzer's journal and i was going to reply saying you owe us an update but then i thought to look first to see. and i saw.

    looking awesome.

cipro is a disgusting drug and i hate it. i went on it for 10 days and was scared shitless playing tennis. and it didnt work and i ended up on augmentin for 20 days afterwards. horrible time in my life. i'll never take it again. it made me so sick and tired. i had read about the tendon weakening side too. horrible.

but damn dude, you look maavelous.

    Thanks Kree!! :dreamy:

I agree Paddy, it's a nasty drug and the more research I do, the more I think it was released to the market without adequate research (shocking for the pharmaceutical industry to do that, I know). Thanks again for the kind words.
