My routine critique please

    I am starting an upper/lower 4 day routine. Any pointers would be appreciated.

    Monday:
    Bench 3x5
    BB Row 3x5
    OHP 3x5
    Tri Pulldowns 3x8-10
    Curls 3x8-10

    Tuesday:
    Squats 3x5
    RDL 1x5
    Standing Calf Raises Weighted 3x10-15
    Abs

    Thursday:
    Chest Fly's 3x5-8
    Lat Pulldown 3x8-10
    Incline Bench 3x5
    Dips 3x8-10
    Preacher Curls 3x8-10

    Friday:
    Squats 3x5
    Leg Curls 3x5-8
    Leg Ext. 3x5-8
    Seated Calf Raises 3x10-15

    One school of thought says to work individual muscle groups on the same day (i.e. push would be chest/triceps, pull would be back/biceps), but if you are comfortable working every body part at each workout, I see nothing wrong with the way you have the exercises grouped.

    I might look at front/side/rear deltoids somewhere in your Thursday workout, although with incline bench and dips on that day you are getting some good shoulder motion in there as well. Again, I see nothing wrong with they way you have it put together as it stands.

    Only other thing I'm not seeing are traditional deadlifts. Maybe in place of the second day of squats in your work week? Just a thought... in any case, it's a well thought out and manageable program!

    I have Romanian DL on Tuesday. I generally don't like to DL more than once a week. I was thinking of adding some straight leg DL on Thursday. Maybe a 1x3-5 depending on how comfortable I feel.

    I'd split the squats and deads... but that's just me. :D

    I may end up doing that. Thanks for the input. I was doing SL5x5 for a while and got bored with the same thing every time I went. Haha. I like variety. Hahaha
