All great stuff. I rarely hear(see) this kind of thing. I listen mostly to indie rock on internet radio. Where do you find this stuff. I'm curious.

    Unearth: The Chosen
    Genre: Metal

    Soulwax: e-talking
    Genre: Alternative Rock/Electro

    Daft Punk: Da Funk
    Genre: Electro/House

The music videos for both the soulwax and daft punk, while more interesting visually, have a lot of dialogue throughout, which I find annoying over multiple playthroughs, so I just posted the album versions above

If you want to see the proper music videos then please click through:

    Soulwax - e-talking

    Daft Punk - Da Funk

This song gets in my head whenever I hear it. I like the Black Keys older stuff a bit better than their latest album.

When the Lights Go Out (used in the movie Black Snake Moan) - Blues Rock

Apparently this was also just used in a movie, but The Ettes are a cool small group that feels a bit like the White Stripes with kind of a stripped down punk/pop/blues rock feel:

I think they even toured with the The Black Keys if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not much into pop, but have a guilty pleasure of occasionally liking a mashup. Here's one of the top 25 US pop songs:

I realize I'm very late to this thread and late in replying, but...

Carole! Paolo Nutini! Fantastic! I was just recently introduced to him, LOVE his tune Pencil Full of Lead!

bballer143, thank you for the Chris Isaak cover. I'm partial to the original because I looove Chris, but that was a really nice, sexy, atmospheric version.

Mannish Boy and malnar, thank you for reminding me how much I LOVE just about anything Jack White does. Genius.

Here are a couple of my own (unrelated!) contributions:

Jamie Cullum, Don't Stop The Music

Stray Cats, Sleepwalk for the guitar players!

(Sorry, can't embed 'til I can afford membership! :D)

That's damn well done! I have another one from few years back that I thought was awesome too. It's a Lilly Allen vs. The Cure mashup of their songs Smile and Lullaby turned into Lillybye:
