    Hi there everyone...

I am curious to know what everyone thinks of muscular women. At what point is too much ... too much. Mind you, I am no where near being a bodybuilding woman, but ... I'd be interested to know what you all think.

Thanks for helping me out on this one! :tucool:

    hmmmmm

I guess there are a lot of grey areas here depending on the person.

Firstly I'd like to say that personality plays the largest role ( ;) ) but if we were talking about looks alone:

My ideal is a lean, fit and slim lady with some definition but no vascularity or visible pumped-upness (is that a new word?).

The leanness is a subtle thing - its the difference between a slim arm that has no definition and a slim arm that has a slight sexy curve to it.

Ladies with a very low bodyfat I feel lose their femininity. Hardcore bodybuilders are just too big for me and would make me feel like a woman - they also all seem to have breast implants to make them look more feminine - probably because they lose the breasts...

If I had to make the choice, I'd actually prefer a larger more "curvy" woman to a muscle meat head woman.

LOL - I can't believe im posting this.

My mum always used to tell me "It takes all sorts you know!" - to which I always replied "what?"...

I'm curious what people have to say as well.

Looking through fashion magazines, I'm amazed at the body types that are idealized. I wouldn't want to look like most of them.

However, I wouldn't want to look like most body builders either.

I'll take the body of a female gymnast or swimmer over a body builder.

    what about men?

the 'rroid monsters do nothing for me. in fact, i find them rather disturbing. like i can't look away, but i'd never be attracted to one.

fit guys, yes. nice body, in shape, not scary-big, that's nice.

i have to put a vote in for mind over body though. i've dated a lot of men that i wasn't attracted to at first blush. it's all about what's inside.

I Like men to look muscular and cut, but also lean- not those huge bulked up kind of guys.
I think women look good lean, with muscle definiton, but again without any bulk.

I think I just said the same thing two different ways :p

Why does a big guy always HAVE to be on roids?

I also find it amusing on this board that the men are killing themselves in the gym and complaining they can't grow. Yet the women are so scared to death that if they lift any kind of moderately heavy weight their muscles are going to be growing SOOOO large right before their eyes.

That has to be the fastest reply I've ever seen on a message board.

hahaha ;) I just had to point out that some of us know better. I hear you, though. I don't understand why so many women think this way either.
It seems like such a waste of time to me to lift a five pound weight over and over doing many reps, when I know I can do more and be stronger using heavy weights, without the dreaded bulk.

This is SO true! :claplow: I've gone to workout with a few girls and when I was trying to show them excercises they were all worried that they would look freaky with big muscles, especially from ONE workout! I wish I had to worry about growing muscle TOO big. Maybe I should get on some roids!

    j/k

I prefer my women to look like women. A woman with a six-pack would do nothing for me, and any pro bodybuilder women- well let's just say there's a good chance they're more of a man than I am.

Just give me someone slender and in decent shape- She doesn't need to be able to wrestle a moose down

because you don't get THAT big naturally. i've been around a lot of big men in my life. i'm not confused between what you can do naturally, and what you can do with drugs. i'm talking about abusing sterroids.

I've been to a lot of fitness sites and it's that way everywhere. So many women seem to think they're going to lift weights one afternoon and wake up the next day looking like the Incredible Hulk. Oh if it were only that easy!

Katie Holmes is the perfect woman in my eyes, so like her. Exactly like her. No ripped chicks for me.
