Day off...But I shit the bed and went and did 20 min of cardio plus the calf raises (125kgx10x2) I missed on Tuesday.

    04/07/16

Writing Music: Black Stone Cherry - Magic Mountain/Kentucky albums

Training Music: Meshuggah- The Best of album

    Incline Bench
    205x5x2 - +20lbs

    Chin ups
    +10x5x2 -+10lbs

    Palms in cable rows
    225x5x2-+15lbs

    Close grip top half bench
    155x10x2 +20lbs

    Hammer Curls
    40x5 +5lbs

Since my body is being a straight cunt about losing weight I'm adding cardio in to see if it will help the process.

    Let's hope

Nothing really groundbreaking to report in regards to my training.

    Have a great one!

Writing Music: 97.3 FM (80's channel)

Training Music: Metallica -Kill 'em all album

    Deadlift
320x5x2 - Better than last week

    Seated Calf Raises
    90x15x2 - Burned

    Reverse Wrist Curl
    80x15x2 - +40 lbs, went fine.

    Cardio
    15 min elliptical.

Training went fine, Deads are working out not bad. I was a little worried the weight might have been a little too much for the herns but I managed with no pain or issues afterward.

This weekend I totally went off the rails with eating. I don't mean that in regards to super binging or anything, but I wasn't all that good either. I need to tighten up on that....alot.

Tomorrow is a new day. Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Writing music: Atreyu - A Deathgrip On Yesterday album

Training Music: Various - Metallica/Heart Of A Coward/Slayer....whatever could keep me fired up.

    Military Press
    155x5x2 - +10 lbs Good

    Parallel Grip Chin Up
    +10 lbsx10, +10lbsx8 - +10 lbs Very Happy

    Flat D-bell Press
    80x8, 80x7 - +5lbs Easy

    Barbell Row
225x5x2 - +30 lbs Solid Jump and overall felt good

    Triceps Extensions
    160x10x2 - +30 lbs, Easy

    Barbell Curl
    100x5 - +5lbs. Good

Training has been running smooth. This week marks my third week with this protocol and thus far I'm liking it quite a bit. I feel I'll be walking away from this training (half a macrocycle) with some solid strength gains. My body seems to be responding quite well from a hypertrophy perspective (I'll take it).

I've restructured my eating again. This current approach I think will be more beneficial than the last. I've bumped my fiber up from 20 g a day to 40g a day. Also I've decided to work on carb cycling. I responded very well to carb cycling in the past so I'm going to give it another go and see if I respond as well as I did years ago.

Hope you're all having a great day.

Writing Music: Three Doors Down :The Better Life (album)

Training Music: Got Djent? (Spotify Playlist)

    Leg Press
675x8x2 - Quads were on fire!

    Back Extensions
    +45x10x2 - +20 lbs

    Barbell Shrugs
    405x6x2 - +1 rep (dem hand grips)

    Standing Calf Raises
    125kgx15x2 - +3 reps

    Barbell Wrist curls
    100x16x2 - +1 rep

Training went well. I worked on pushing more with my toe and mid foot vs mid and heel on the leg press, I get more quad activation out of it.

    04/13/16

    Writing Music: Deathcore (Spotify playlist)

Cardio Music: La Coka Nostra - A Brand You Can Trust (album)

Cardio 25 min on the elliptical.

Our 12 year old greybaby (Maya) was diagnosed with anaplastic squamous cell carcinoma about a month ago. They found it in her jaw when we had brought her in for an abscess tooth. Since her diagnosis she has declined rapidly, so much so Maya and I have decided tomorrow is her time to move on from this life to whatever is beyond this existence.

Tomorrow is going to be one of the hardest days of our lives....

Thank you so much :) Coming from you it means alot. I know both you and Lisa have went down this same path before.

I took the day off so that I can spend as much time with her as possible. I'm gonna take her to Starbucks for a puppucino and bring her to the park where she can lay by lake Ontario on her bed.

    3:20 pm.

The vet is coming to the house in just over an hour and a half.

Emotions are all over the place, I feel sick to my stomach, and the fuckin' clock won't slow down.

    Doubts, fears, second guessing.....

I can say without a doubt in my mind that I have felt far less emotional pain when human family members have passed away.

Would someone would wake me up from this terrible nightmare?!

I've been thinking about you two all day long. My heart goes out to you both. Your post just brought back all those same feelings in me. Everything you're feeling right now, all that doubt, the fear.... it's natural. We both felt it, too, every single damn time. You're doing the hardest thing for you, but the kindest thing you can do for her. Stay strong brother.

Thank you everyone for your kind words.

Maya (greybaby) was such an amazing little girl. Words truly cannot express just how amazing she was. I can confidently say she truly taught me unconditional love. There were many days where I would find myself missing her throughout the day and wishing I could get out of work just to go home and be with her. The greatest highlight of my day was coming home and walking through the front door....the excitement she would display melted my heart.

As I write this I find myself pausing and reflecting on life with Maya and feeling varying emotions so intensely....

I have loved all of our greybabies (she was the 3rd we've had to say goodbye to), but with Maya it was much different. I cannot explain it, there was just this amazing connection. It was something that developed immediately, before she became one of our children.

It's kinda funny actually. We met Maya at our friends place, we had went over for a coffee and discuss having Phoebe (our first grey) stay with her while we went to Spain for a couple of weeks. I remember sitting on the couch and watching Maya as she was...being Maya I guess (I find myself chuckling to myself as I write this...she was just so....quirky). At one point our friend stepped out of the room and Maya came over to the coffee table and slyly stole a cookie! It was hiliarious! Both Maya (wife) and I were stunned but immediately found the humor in it (we never bothered to say anything to our friend either...hell I don't think she's aware to this day)

We had a pizza incident exactly like that years later, but that story is for a different day...

    I digress.

Anyways, It was then and there I fell so in love with that little girl and as fate (if there is such a thing) would have it, shortly thereafter we ended up bringing her into our home and having her as one of our own.

What I wouldn't do to be able to hold her one more time, to be able to smell her fur, to see her dance when about to be fed, her awkward zoomies.....

She took such a huge part of my heart when she went away.

So many fantastic memories. The adventures we've had with that little one, I could easily write a novel.

If you have a furbaby, go give them snuggles...no... give them lots of snuggles, take them on an adventure, give them their favorite snack, go create positive memories for the both of you to share.

They are finite, as are we. Make best the time you have with them because you will regret the times you don't...

    Love them unconditionally

    Thanks John,

Right now we are mending. Our busy schedules help in distracting us, until we get home that is...then it starts to sink in. But everyday it gets better, sorta. :)

Writing Music - HELLYEAH - Various
Training Music - Cannibal Corpse - Evisceration Plague (Album...I love this album)

    Leg Press
    585x5, 585x8 - Different machine than normal.

    Back Extension
    50x5x2 - +5 lbs

    Barbell Shrug
    405x8x2 - +1 rep

    Standing Calf Raises
    137kgx10x2 - +12kg

    Barbell Wrist Curl
    115x15x2 +15 lbs

Leg Press was in the shitter today, I was on a different machine today and it doesn't seem to give me the same freedoms as the other one. Oh well, it isn't worth sweating over.

Sitting at 208, summer is around the corner and I'm locked in with the dadbod...starting to wonder if I'll ever be strong enough again to get back to single digit BF.

Sad thing is, I need to drop weight for my hernia surgery and yet....here I am spinning my wheels with my nutrition. I really need to get my shit together.

Writing Music: The Acacia Strain - "Coma Witch" Album
Training Music: Drowning Pool "Desensitized" Album

    Deadlifts
    345x5x2 - +20 lbs, Easier than I was expecting

    Seated Calf Raises
    100x15x2 - +10 lbs

    Reverse Wrist Curls
    60x15 - Fail!

Deads are going well, I'm cautiously moving the weight up and so far the herns is taking it well :). I failed out on the wrist curls big time! I didn't have my training sheet with me so I totally forgot what I did the week before so I winged it a bit and was totally off the mark...sad thing is, I again forgot my training sheet at work. Fack! So my Monday work out might be interesting.

    'tis the weekend.
