yay the forums are back up.

i hit my 50 points by the end of march!

i'll just go right back into logging nutrition/workouts but not going to hunt down the macros from last week.

working a ton so my energy has been so/so. need to start upping my calories a bit.

played in a disc golf player's league this sunday and took first!

nutrition was relaxed saturday and sunday. too many beers sat night. but right back at it monday. upped the cals/carbs quite a bit on monday and then going for the slow raise to about 2000-2100 by the end of the week.

didn't lift for 5 days and got back in the squat rack yesterday. very low volume. energy was just kinda blah. motivation will raise again as i lock it down. pms isn't helping.

dammit fell off the logging wagon this last week. super busy....working a ton. nutrition is still on point and lifting regularly. mp/pull yesterday and squats/stepups today. might log them if i get free time later but we'll see. cals have been about 1900 (besides mon where i ate everything in sight).

    bodyweight was 130.8 today.

girlfriend has to stay in nashville til may 10. she gets to come home a couple weekdays next week at least.

sister still hasn't popped out the baby.

gotta fold laundry and get showered before work. busy, busy.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

so i'm an auntie!!! spent a looooong night and day waiting but my sister had him at 7pm last night. it was at a birthing center and she did it all natural without any drugs. they were home four hours after birth. she's one tough cookie. he's perfect!

squats this morning and then i'm going to head over there and see what they need.

bodyweight was 132.4. aunt flo is finally gone and my energy is WAAAAAY better. ready to get back to a bit of normalcy and get the nutrition and lifting back where i feel excellent.

    kawkaaaw!!

Wow only two years between posts!!

Bought a house.... Same old job....lifted regularly all of 2017 and so far this year. Strength is pretty similar to the point I was killing it this time in 2016.

Body weight about 10 lbs higher. Some muscle but mostly fluff.

Went on an amazing week long cruise in February and have slowly been getting into lock down since then. Will probably go back to a point and logging system like the one I used last time I was logging. Will give it some more thought later tonight. Have been logging food and workouts so should be easily doable.

Love, love, love where we live. 15 mins to beach and we have a pool and it's pretty much sunny year round so waaaaay better than life was up north.

Anyways I'll check back in with some kind of plan towards the goal of leaning out a bit.

    Missed y'all!!

I was thinking about you last week (something about dead lifting).

Glad to see things are good.

Would love to see you posting again.

ok so that was 2016. i'll take exact measurements later this week but my bw is hovering between 141-144 and my widest belly measurement is 35".

my strength levels are very similar to what they were this time of year in 2016. then i had the stress of my mom, buying a house, moving, etc etc and kinda sucked the second half of 2016. 2017 i lifted fairly regularly but no real set goals and was kind of floundering with the fact my workplace is boring and easy and expects nothing of its workers.

i also managed to lose my extra barbell when we moved so i was only trap bar deadlifting until about fall of 2017. very little straight bar dl. finally got back into them a bit....but then hurt my finger in early feb and haven't deadlifted since. have been focused on squats the last year and definitely have seen an improvement in my mobility on them......so that's great.

anyways i'm rambling. going to go with the same kind of point system as i was using in 2016. we have a trip planned to topsail island the first week of june (the week i turn 37). that's just over 10 weeks from now so i figure that is a good time frame to use. goal will be 50 points in that time.

so here we go. can't get to point 50 without getting past point 1!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    POINT 1.

    bw: 143.6 lbs.

    nutrition: 1808 cals (178C/63F/138P).

    workout:
    bb bsq: 110 x 5; 130 x 5; 150 x 7; 160 x 6; 170 x 5; 180 x 4; 190 x 3; 180 x 4; 170 x 5; 160 x 6
    bb rdl: 150 x 10, 10, 10
    bb step ups: 145 x 20, 20, 20

    energy: good.

    motivation: medium high.

    POINT 2.

    bw: 142.0 lbs.

nutrition: 1660 cals (173C/53F/131P). (12 oz sierra nevada pale ale....cals logged as carbs)

    workout:
    bb mp: 40 x 5; 50 x 5; 60 x 3; 70 x 5; 80 x 5; 90 x 3; 100 x 1; 105 x 1, 1; 80 x 5, 5, 5
    pronated grip pullups: bw x 5, 5, 4, 4, 4
    bb bp: 95 x 10, 10, 10, 10
    bb row: 110 x 10, 10, 10, 10
    facepulls/shoulder work

    energy: good.

    motivation: high.

    --------------------------------------------------------------

haven't done any military pressing as my main lift in a couple months, only have thrown it in as accessory work here and there. figured i'd use today's training to see where it was and i'm quite happy with how the singles at 105 felt. i usually lose maximal mp strength very quickly if i'm not training it heavy regularly.

i start all upper workouts with a variety of shoulder mobility stuff and band pull aparts/face pulls/ etc. lower days i start with some hip mobility stuff and usually a few jumps. not going to log that stuff every time.

work was fine. 8 hour shift, but a very busy/active one.

i need to get to the grocery store to get some snacks to get that protein level up another 10-20 grams. usually do beef jerky or greek yogurt on my last break at work but have been out since last week.

ready to string me together a bunch of excellent days!

    POINT 3.

    bw: 142.2 lbs.

nutrition: 1715 cals (173C/49F/150P). (12 oz goin' coastal pineapple ipa....cals logged as carbs)

    workout:
    bb dl: 120 x 5; 190 x 5; 220 x 3; 260 x 1; 280 x 1; 300 x 1; 210 x 8, 8

    energy: good.

    motivation: high.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

haven't dead lifted in awhile (and not really at all most of 2017) so i just wanted to get in a quick session to see where my strength is. killed my hands since i don't really have callouses at the moment. i'm using a short super stiff bar too so that makes them even harder than usual. anyways i'm happy with the 300. ready to make some progress there.

already reaping the rewards of the locking it down. feeling great! yay!
