Lose 3lbs a week until August

    I've ate like crap the entire weekend. I felt really bloated this morning so hopefully it's just water weight, but damn it still sucks to be up that much.

    Hey guys- I have been ill all week and I imagine I lost weight since I have not eaten much but I will skip weigh in regardless. I will be out of town this weekend, so I will return next weekend with some good numbers- good luck guys!!

    Hey Guys-

    Sorry I have not posed in a couple weeks. Its been a rough couple weeks of the flu followed by a 4-day vacation that turned into a week. I got really off track but in the past that would have sent me off for months to years and this time I am back and ready to get it going again.
    I weighed in at 210 this morning which is a gain of a few but thats cool. It happens. I have not been sick in 5 years so I should be good.
    Mustbesix- I am so proud to see all those updates man- keep it going!! I will post Saturday.

    I suppose I should update too: I'm back on the diet and working out daily again. I haven't been posting but strangely I've been reading all the updates..... I'm at 228 this morning.... kinda weak but at least it's some progress..

    I'm at 225.8 this morning... Slow and steady kinda like the tortoise.... at this rate i'll be at the weight I was last year by august but not at the weight I wanted yet.... I'm guessing 210-215 by aug.... Still a ways to go to hit the 185-190 I was looking for.

    Glad to see you're still around Echo. I was beginning to think I was just posting for the hell of it. We're probably going to be in the same boat of back where we were the previous August. I've got about 20 pounds to go before I'm where I was about a year ago. I guess getting back to square one is still better than being 3 steps back.

    Yes, I'm still here! Sometimes I don't post for awhile because I kinda feel ashamed for such slow progress..... But I guess a lot of people feel that way when they fall off their diets or when everyone else seems to blow them away with their progress. I'm at like 224.2 today.... I'm still getting like 1.5-2 pounds on a good week and 0-1 pound on my off weeks. I think I've really averaged like 1-1.5 pounds a week. I haven't been working out like I should , but I've been sticking to my diet really well. I'm sticking to this one until I hit my goal of 185-190...... With rewards to myself every 10 lbs..... I just hate how brutally slow it's going this time. I actually had to stick with the diet for over a month before my body finally let go of the first pound and started losing! Thats what always killed me in the past. Sticking with the diet for 2-3 weeks and losing nothing! Now it's a slow and agonizing battle but I'm determined to get to my goal weight of 190.... Actually 185 cause I'll gain 5 pounds the day after I'm off my diet... Good luck to everyone still reading the challenge!

    I feel you man. I made almost no progress for the first 10 weeks. I've only averaged a little over 1lb since we started. I'd love to have the first 10 weeks to do again, but whatever. I guess it's head down and pushing forward from here. Even a little progress is still progress. I have 14 weeks to go and I'm going to try to make the best of them.

    I'm actually going to have to post all of my weigh ins during the week for the next few because I won't be around on the weekends for most of July. Only got 1lb this week, but I'm not too worried. I actually went out with friends last night so I'm happy my weight still showed progress.

    I'm at 224.3 this morning.... Still going slow and steady... However, I still haven't been working out very often... I believe the only reason I haven't been losing significant amounts of muscle is due to my lower carbohydrate approach. It would be nice to see greater fat loss and possibly some muscle gain though.. Like the first time I dropped weight. I guess ones body starts to change when you hit your 30's. I have no excuses though. I have a treadmill, weight bench, and lots of extra time on my hands. Maybe I'm not motivated enough... I'm going to try and double my efforts until Aug 14th and see what happens.. Good luck everyone still reading the challenge!

    223.2 Yesterday! Just wanted to post an update. 1 or 2 weeks until I go below 220 again. Maybe I really will get to 210 by Aug 14th.... :p

    This is hands down the most inspirational thread I've read so far. Just joined recently and I've read a ton of the success stories here. Your dedication even when you aren't doing as well as you might like is awesome. Seriously. Excellent work!
