We are pretty close in begining weight so lets battle!! A suggestion if looking for something besides low carb- carb cycling?? Gives you one big day of carb loading which feels like a cheat.

That is a great idea about bad picture for losing avatar!! Of course that would suck for the losers, but that IS the point right?

Sounds good! I've just started. I was 237.1 yesterday before bed. and 234.8 this morning..... Not sure yet which weight should've been my starting weight....... But 236 is in the middle.... So i'll say 236 starting. I'll measure my weight every morning and keep a log of workouts and other info. Good luck!

I've been eating like shit. I miss the days when I was super motivated. It's amazing how much the mind controls the body. In the past I've worked out everyday and ate perfect. Now I can't seem to do either worth a damn. I've decide to give up on my Velocity Diet idea. It's just not working for.

I always found the best way to get back on track was to go day by day. Start with a goal of eating clean for one day when you can do that make the goal two days. Before you know it you'll be back on track.

I gained 7lbs in January and then lost almost 30lbs in February so don't give up just find out what works for you be 100% honest and set attainable short term goals.

    Best of luck! :D

I think that I'll join in here, too. I weighed in at 278 (my highest since last summer :( ) yesterday morning. Want to get more aggressive w/ the weight loss.

Should be a good race between me and big simon, since we're basically the same weight and the same height

Thanks Simon. I'm going to stock up on groceries tomorrow. Throwing out everything was a bad idea since I wasn't able to handle Velocity.

Do not be hard on yourself. My advice after years of trying different diets- stop looking for that diet- especially strict ones like Velocity. I tell everyone, that no one knows more about what to eat then people who need to lose weight. I bet you know what to eat and what to avoid. Eat good 90% of the time, and relax for 10 %. Get to the gym and always get in the exercise and I promise as long as you keep the calories reasonable you will lose the weight.

Zero progress. :cry:I'm still at 266lbs. I'm glad I haven't gained any weight, but I think this is about as fat as I can get.

    5lbs loss :bb:

Not bad for a week without exercise (see my journal for why; I won't bore you all here!:)). I have been eating better, though.

    Week 2 check in.
Time to step on those scales and see how we did. :bb:

    Big Simon
    Starting Weight
    269.6 lbs
End of week 1 weight 266.4 lbs
Weight loss for week 1: 3.2 lbs

I'm happy and pretty shocked, I had to travel all week for work so I had no time to workout let alone sleep for most of the week.

    Only 20lbs to go.

Way to go Simon. I had some things to do early this morning so I'll measure and weigh tomorrow. I'm guessing little or no progress though. :(

No progress, but that's what I expected. I'm still disappointed in myself, but my diet is slowly getting better so I guess I'm trying.

I wish I knew. I could come up with plenty of excuses, but it basically comes down to laziness.
