I overate today....too much damn pizza....but did get in at least an hour of exercise, so that should help.

I'm like a lot others here too...now....stuck at 223-225...back and forth, nothing really changing. Going to keep up watching the calories too, stay away from junk food as much as possible...and continue biking.

It worked till now...no reason it should stop.

    Keep it up guys! :tu:

I've hit a bit of a lull it seems....week straight now...no weight loss, yet I'm still burning 500-1000 more calories per day than I'm eating?

Any reason for this? I do cardio every other day....try too...biking mostly....and body weight workouts the other day.

How long have you been dieting? Your body may have adjusted itself to the lower amount of calories you've been eating. You may want to try upping your calories (stay clean) a couple days a week to increase your metabolism. But if it's mostly an issue of not being consistent w/ cardio, then you just need to make your cardio a higher priority and get it done.

6 months perhaps? I'm not exactly sure how long I've been doing it. My diet has been off and on....3 months where I could keep it up to par...a month where I was traveling and found it impossible to eat what I wanted.

I'll try to eat more for a while....the cardio part is simply impossible....I travel way to much to find time to keep it consistant.

I tried to tack on around 700 more calories today than I do normally...and its hard.

Even if I spread it out from meal to meal....I still feel too full to eat much at suppertime.

Perhaps I should start taking protein powder? What about drinking powerade after working out? Just to add calories I mean.

I'm a fan of protien powder w/ peanut butter thrown in. With the peanut butter, it's really easy to make a 500 calorie shake. I would skip the powerade as I don't think it really adds anything to your diet besides calories.

Every 3 of 4 days, try spreading out 500 calories among your meals...just to mix it up. Might help :)

    I'll try that.

I guess for the past 6 months or so...I've always forced myself NOT to go back for seconds, etc, etc....now my body has become used to it already.

I tell you...its a good problem to have! :tu:

I'm much leaner this week than two weeks ago despite being two pounds heavier. I don't think it's a lean mass thing so much as a not enough fiber thing. :scared:

Next week is the last week before vacation. I'm hoping for some progress and fully expect to be back at 200 or so when I return from the beach.

This is what happens with not enough fiber.

Ah, last weekend was a mess. I went to Philly for my dad's birthday. It was like going away from home just destroyed all of my defense mechanisms to resist eating the wrong kinds of food. It took me all week to climb back down to where I was last friday. So the average for the week has me at much higher. Going to restaurants is the worst, when I get a menu in my hands, it kills me to order something bland. I will not give up

Well week 7 results are here:

    Cheat meals are a killer

On July 18th I weighed the lowest I had ...well as an adult 169.8 ..then I got married and all of the pre and post wedding eating knocked me back 2 weeks... it took 2 weeks to get back to 169.8. For some reason I decided to have a cheat day last saturday and It took 6 days to recover weight wise. Previously, when I was fatter, I was able to have a cheat day per week and still lose. Now that I'm closer to my goal bodyfat and weight... weekly cheats cannot happen. I learned 1 or 2 meals per month is my threshold... Yesterday I woke up and weighed 169.6 ... so .2 less (not quite remarkable enough to report) however I had Thai food last night but picked a healthly (but delicious) meal and it had no affect what so ever... even though I ate about twice what I needed too. I woke up this morning and weighed the same. Maybe if I didn't have that meal I would have weighed less. However traditional cheat meals would have had me up at least 1 or 2 pounds. Lesson learned.... It's ok to go to a restaurant and pick something healthy...... I don't have to eat pizza, fries ect ect.... September 1 - 14 I'll be on our honeymoon cruise.... I'm totally freaked out about how to handle all the food that's going to be in my face.. I hope I can make the right choice most of the time. :eat:

I was back at 221....yesterday morning, but don't add it to the list.

I'll post what I weigh on Wednesday morning.

    And where is everyone?

Still here...floating around the 1 pound to 3 pounds lost area.

    I'm doing a great job of maintaining...which would be awesome if I wasn't overweight!:bang:

Quick question.....my weight has been stuck at 223-225 for the past two weeks....yet I can still see the fat loss on my chest and belly area.

Damn ribs are starting to show too?

    Is this normal?

The curse of regional adiposity. The rest of your body will lean out significantly while you still hold fat in your middle.

As long as you're seeing progress, scale weight doesn't matter much.
