I have been up and down the past year from a high of 242 to as low as 218. I am currently 226 and want to lose about 20 lbs by xmas this year.

Im thinking we set a start date of October 15, and we post some type of "proof" of starting weight, etc.

And there can be daily or weekly weigh-ins.

    Anyone interested?

I will add some Things. I will mainly use weight training, a method called HIT which stands for High Intensity Training. 3 days a week. Might add a mile on a treadmill on off days .

What will you do besides dieting? :tucool:

I'm in. My weight on October 15th was 216.0 lbs.

Where are the weekly weigh ins? I think I'll post my weight every other week just to ensure better compliance. Next weight report from me is due Monday.

    Weigh in from Monday 10/29/2012:

    213.0 lbs.

    Bi-weekly Change: 3.0 lbs.
    Total Change: 3.0 lbs.
    Rate of Change: 1.5 lbs/week

    Change To Go: 17.0 lbs.
    Time Remaining: 8 weeks
Rate of Change Needed: 2.125 lbs/week

On track so far. Nutrition is 1.25-1.5g protein per lb of BW, carbs and calories(2500-4000) cycled around training and daily activities.

Training is 3 days/week two exercises each day:

Day 1: Barbell Deadlift/Barbell Back Squat (optional accy: barbell bicep curl)
    Day 2: Front Squat/Clean & Jerk
Day 3: Snatch/Barbell Bench Press (optional accy: hanging leg raises)

As always, the plan is flexible enough to allow for life to happen.

I'm in. This is almost exactly what I was planning anyway.

My first "official" weigh-in was Saturday October 27: 222 lbs.

I am trying to recomp...I lost a lot of muscle over the last couple years and I am still rehabbing a reconstructed knee....soooooooo....I am looking to drop a bunch of the bad and start adding some of the good....

I expect to lose a bunch of scale weight the first couple weeks (as I am coming off a vacation and a two month stretch of poor dieting) and then get into a 2'ish pound per week loss rate.

I am a little late to the party, but I think I can hang with you guys! :spaz:

    ---

    The method:

    - I weigh in every Saturday
    - I have cheat meals Wednesday at lunch and one meal over the weekend
    - I want to play basketball Mondays and weight train 2 or 3 times per week (One of which is a knee rehab session)

Good luck all! I started my transformation this week, Nov 3. I'm trying to lose 10% body fat (15-20 lbs roughly). I don't know if its possible in your time frame, but I'll do my best. I'm also hitting the weights hard and HIIT cardio twice weekly. I'm not necessarily concerned about weight, just bodyfat. I'm in.

    Nov 1 - 170 (25%ish bf)
    Current - 165 (22% bf)
