Lose 20 lbs. By May 1st.

    Hello All -

    The "Lose 20 lbs. by March 6th" challenge was a great motivator for me. I am starting another challenge for the next 2 months in the same fashion. I am starting by posting my weekly results from the prior challenge. Hoping more will join.

    Sex - Male
    Age - 34
    Height - 5'6"
    Weight - 213 lbs. - yuck
    Goal Weight (for 3/6/09) - 193
    Ultimate Goal Weight - 175 (by 6/25/09 - Baby's due date)

    2009 PROGRESS

    Week 1 - 1/9/09 - 207 lbs. Down 6
    Week 2 - 1/16/09 - 204.5. Down 2.5 lbs this week - 8.5 lbs total
    Week 3 - 1/23/09 - 202.5. Down 2 lbs. This week - 10.5 lbs total
    Week 4 - 1/30/09 - 200.5. Down 2 lbs. This week - 12.5 lbs. total
    Week 5 - 2/6/09 - 199. Down 1.5 lbs. this week - 14 lbs. total
    Week 6 - 2/13/09 - 195.5. Down 3.5 lbs. this week - 17.5 total
    Week 7 - 2/20/09 - 192. Down 3.5 lbs. this week - 21 total.
    Week 8 - 2/27/09 - 190.5. Down 1.5 lbs. this week. 22.5 total.
    Week 9 - 3/6/09 - 189. Down 1.5 lbs. this week. 24 total.

    So starting weight for this new challenge is 189.

    i'm in with you on this one. i'm not sure i can go a full 20. i can however for sure go 14 to bottom at 170. we'll have to see where things are at that weight. its not the number of 20, i'm just not sure where my weight needs to be. i'm not happy right now and my original goal was 180. its not enough.

    i'll take this challenge very seriously. i've been cutting from about 220 since last summer. at 184 i've plateaued and waffled since new years. that said, over the last week with the weather breaking to the positive, i've been getting my mind refocused to finish this cut and i believe i can contribute here and work at it with y'all. so i'm glad to see this today.

    i've been able to build some muscle mass and really strengthen the core. i've just not been focused on my diet. the shame is, if i had done the first challenge, i'd be finished with it by now and i know what's under this last layer of fat and if i can break through this level, i'm going to be very happy. i guess i was burned out from the preceeding cut. time off, refocus, so we do it again! thanks. pat

    im in after screwing up for the last 3 weeks !! im only gunna go for 14lbs though.

    I am in. I am going to call it 247 as that is what I weighed today even though I was 244 the other day. I vary from day to day quite a bit.

    Ok I think 230 will do for me. Thats a pretty substantioal loss for 2 months.

    Whoda thunk this weight lifting thing would work! 241.5 this am. That is officially down over 50 lbs from a starting weight of 292. :tucool:
