    Thx dude.
My legs are shaking every time I lean forward, and my back is stiff as hell, but not yet sore. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow. I'm also having a hard time holding a cup of coffee in my hand. I LOVE IT.

Omigosh, Llirik, how did you look when you went back to work after that work-out? I'd be afraid my hands would be in a permanently curled position, not to mention my back! Oh well, could say it was carpal tunnel and maybe get some time off.:)

Thanks for the props! My legs are back to functional, and so are my hands.
As for back - If I can get out of bed tomorrow and make it to the bathroom on 2 of my appendages instead of 4, we'll call it success!

Now all I need is an intelligent way to insert deadlifts into my schedule and watch for progress.

Alright then.. nothing interesting to report today.. no dumb meetings, no pointless conversation with managers, things are going smoothly, just sitting here, eating my bag of baby carrots.
They got us all webcams, and I tried to mount one on top of the other as you would normally see in the canine world. Didn't work out. Tried to get a mirror affect by placing their lenses face to face. That failed as well. Honestly I don't know why they gave them to us, as there seems to be no fun derived whatsoever.

Maybe I'll throw it over the cube wall, and point it at my neighbor, then join a video call. She's a nice lady though, probably wouldn't be nice.

    Here's my workout.

1 mile elliptical. My lower back is stiff as hell from last night, but I slept great.

    Light workout today
    Bench - Flat

    135 x 12
    135 x 12
    135 x 12

    Bench - incline

    95 x 12
    95 x 12
    115 x 10

some dumbell curls in between here and there.

    Smith machine bench press
6 count down, 1 count up

    95 x 12
    115 x 12
    115 x 12

    Hanging leg raises x 15

Pushups - Hands on Dumbells, feet on ball:
    x 20

    dumbell ab rollers
    x 15

Pushups - Hands on dumbells, feet elevated
    x 15

    Hanging leg raises
    x15

pushups - hands on dumbells, feet on floor
    x 15

My lower back and my hamstrings are definitely well aware of yesterday's workout, and I'm suspecting tomorrow will be just as well, but I'm definitely not in any form of debilitating pain.

Hey Llirik, great journal you've got going here.

I am curious, where in Chicago are you. Chicago proper or out in the burbs? I am in Schaumburg.

Sooo, the next two days are going to be tough.
I"m fasting from sundown tonight to sundown tomorrow. No workout today or tomorrow, but will try to spend a lot of time outdoors. Maybe forest preserve with wife and kid. Some time in the park, and then DINNER!

which reminds me.. need to make kid club appointment at the gym for Sunday morning!

    ...

sweet.. Sunday 9 am. It's amazing where you can find free babysitting sometimes. :claphigh: :jumping:

For the first time in as far as I can recall, I showed up at the gym, got undressed, looked into the bag only to discover that I had no shorts, put my clothes back on, and proudly walked right back out, telling the girl at the door to have a nice day.

Today's workout consisted of the following:

Jog 1 mile + stroller to fetch kid from daycare.
    walk to trader Joe's
Jog 1 mile home + stroller + kid

while grilling some chicken for dinner:

4 sets of 20 dips on the corner of my balcony
3 sets of 15 shoulder press pushups, with feet on the balcony rail
3 sets of ab-roller rollouts with my home-made lawmower-wheel ab rollers.

Thanks Imelda. He's a lot of fun

Went to see Roger Waters do The Wall last night.

This morning, I think the only reason I am not hung over is because I have not actually sobered up yet. Not sure I'll get a workout in at this point. Might be just a ton of pushups toward the end of the day.

Wonder if they will miss me at Bally's...

That was Stephen Hawking's theory wasn't it?

I did this once on leg day and decided to just do it anyways. I made it about half way down into a squat and nope, re-racked the bar and left

These are never good workouts, good luck!

A day off today might do you some good if you got that trashed last night.
