It didn't pick up the sleep. Maybe you need to be laying down in order for it to know you are sleeping. I jinxed myself though, my sleep last night was 2.51 deep, and 4.14 light, and .22 awake.

True, but it wouldn't be that bad, since that bus ends within a walking distance from my house (about 1 mile). The only issue would be my car would be parked near the park & ride, and I wouldn't have access to it the next morning. Thank you.

Friday - 1/26/18. leg training, 15 minutes treadmill, 25 minutes sauna. m-t-d workouts: 24/26. Good leg day today. This guy at the gym this morning was squatting 405 lbs. I never in person saw someone squat with 4 plates on each side. He squatted pretty deep, pretty impressive.
He wasn't a big guy either. TGIF.

Sorry I didn't say hello, but I was totally focused on my squats.

:) Today, there was a female, about 20-25, squatting 135 lbs with perfect form. She probably maybe 5'5", weighed about 110 (if I had to guess). Pretty impressive, she is good looking, she was wearing a sweat shirt when squatting. She takes it off later, and I see her whole arm has a sleeve tattoo. I guess I am old, but I felt like walking up to her, and asking why, why, why?

Sat - 1/27/18. chest training, abs, 15+15 minutes treadmill, 30+15 minutes sauna. m-t-d workouts: 25/27. "M" wrote in his journal "The thing that kills me was that I didn't think I was eating that poorly." I guess I am delusional, since the same holds true for me, I believe I am eating healthy, yet in a month, I probably have eaten less than a pound of vegetables, but probably 2 pounds of jelly beans.

Sun - 1/28/18. back training, abs, 20+10 minutes treadmill, 30+15 minutes sauna. m-t-d workouts: 26/28. I had a great workout today, I felt great when I left the gym. At the gym, I always listen to music when working out. The last 2 days I stopped, though when I am running on the treadmill, I have earbuds on, and listen to the TV on the treadmill. I know I sound like the biggest hypochondriac (really I am not ), but I am concerned about my hearing. When I talk to people on the phone, recently I have a hard time hearing most, I have to ask to repeat, and repeat. I thought at the beginning people were speaking low, but now it is more and more often. But I have no issues talking to people in person, or hearing the tv. So no more music for me with earbuds, and if do, it is going to be low on the volume. So far I don't really miss it.

Hopefully it is just a phone issue and you are not losing your hearing

Mon - 1/29/18. arm; ab training, 30 minutes sauna. m-t-d workouts: 27/29. No running today. Felt a little under the weather this morning, but feel better now, the sauna solves all health problems. :) I was thinking I would maybe fast today, since my stomach was the issue, I skipped my after workout Larabar, but I was starving when I got to work, and just ate my 238 calories of raw almonds (1/10 of a 15 ounce can). In 2017, I ate over 330 Larabars (one after every workout - with few exceptions). I am their best customer. Tomorrow I hope to run.

Tues - 1/30/18. 66 minutes treadmill, 20 minutes sauna. m-t-d workouts: 28/30. Hard to believe tomorrow is the last day of the month. This has been a pretty good month for me both nutritionally and for fitness. I am continuing my resolution of not buying food, until I finish most of the food I have in my house already. I have only bought a very limited amount of food in January, quarts and quarts of Greek yogurt, cheddar cheese, peanut butter Power Bars (24), trail mix, 5 Heath candy bars, 5 containers of apple sauce, 2 containers of instant Nescafe coffee, Natto: 6 packages of 3 servings (fermented soybeans). Not bad for a month, I still haven't eaten the Heath bars :). One side benefit, is that I only spent about 1/3 of what I usually spend on food in a month. Tomorrow I hope to train shoulders; abs.

Weds - 1/31/18. shoulders; triceps; abs, 15 minutes treadmill, 20 minutes sauna. m-t-d workouts: 29/31. Woke up early, but got to the gym late. Time goes so fast in the morning, it is unbelievable. It feels like I blink, and 15 minutes has passed. We were supposed to have a red moon last night. I looked when I left for the gym, and though the full moon was extremely bright, I didn't see the red. Tomorrow I hope to train back (abbreviated), and either spend some time on the treadmill, or the stairmaster.

Thurs - 2/01/18. weekly back day #2 (abbreviated), abs, 15 minutes treadmill (before lifting), 20 minutes stairmaster (after lifting), 20 minutes sauna. m-t-d workouts: 1/1. Tried to cover all bases today, lifting, abs, treadmill, stairmaster, sauna, since it is the first day of the month, off to a good start. Yesterday, at work I ate a piece of ice cream cake, I estimated at 400 calories. I am not really a big fan of ice cream, but the cake was pretty good. The cake was huge, there was roughly 1/2 left, I already was thinking this morning, I wonder if I will eat another piece of the cake today.:o Tomorrow I hope to train legs, and run.

Friday - 2/02/18. leg day, 15 minutes treadmill (after lifting), 20 minutes sauna. m-t-d workouts: 2/2. I almost skipped running, then I thought that it is pretty pathetic that I can find the time to sit in the sauna for 20 minutes, yet can't find 15 to run. That thought got me on the treadmill (and late for work). :) Recently before this, I have been thinking the minutes on the treadmill should always outnumber the minutes in the sauna (though not today). Even if you spent more time in the sauna than running you still ran so that is a win.

Thank you. Today ran 32 minutes, in the sauna 30 minutes.

Sat - 2/03/18. chest; abs; 20 minutes treadmill (before lifting),12 minutes treadmill (after lifting), 30 minutes sauna. m-t-d workouts: 3/3. My throat felt a little scratchy this morning, and even now. Also I have no appetite. But I feel okay. I probably should have taken a rest day today, but I really wanted to spend some time in the sauna, thinking that would help my throat. Since I was at the gym, I ended up doing the exact workout I had planned before I got sick. Just finished buying some food at Wegmans, I want to stop food shopping, but they keep pulling back in with their coupons ($5.00 off $25.00). It seems silly that would get me to go there, but it worked every week. I haven't been to any other supermarket in over a month besides Wegmans, so I guess they know what they are doing. Next week is the last week for the 5 or 6 weeks of coupons they sent, and hopefully they won't send anymore. I bought Greek yogurt (4 quarts), (2) apple sauce containers, 2 bagels, frozen french fries, and trail mix (3 pounds). Tomorrow I was supposed to run in a 4 mile race, but I am pretty sure I am not going. But if I feel okay, I would like to train (my back).

    Sun - 2/04/18. rest day. m-t-d workouts: 3/4.

Tues - 2/06/18. 15 minutes treadmill (walking); 20 sauna. m-t-d workouts: 4/6. I did (do) have the flu, but since I got the flu vaccine, I think it was a lighter case, than had I not gotten the vaccine. I slept and slept, and didn't go to work yesterday. I went to work today, but it probably would have been smarter to take off an additional day. It was a mistake also to go to workout, as soon as I got on the treadmill, I knew there would be no running today.

Weds - 2/07/18. rest day. m-t-d workouts: 4/7. I feel a lot better today. Though when I cough, I don't sound so great. It wasn't snowing when I was walking to the bus, but it soon started once on the bus. I think they are saying 4 inches of snow at most, then turning into rain. I hope I don't have to shovel snow tonight. I hope to start working out again tomorrow.

    Glad you're feeling better.

FWIW, although we don't live that far from each other experience has shown a wider than expected, at least to me, variation in some weather events. With that caveat, I was supposed to get between 3 and 5 inches and got only 1. For the past couple of hours it's been freezing rain, which may be worse.

Yes, it rained after, so when I got home the driveway had a soupy layer of snow on it. I didn't shovel, and now it is an icy mess. But hopefully it will melt by itself latter today and the rest of the week.

Thurs - 2/08/18. rest day, 25 minutes sauna. m-t-d workouts: 4/8. I would say I was getting better, but I just had an uncontrollable coughing fit on the bus. I primarily went to the gym to shower, since I had no hot water in my house today. I had no time to investigate the cause this morning. That was the first time I went to the gym, and didn't exercise.

I went out last night and shoveled so there is no residual layer of ice around my property. The temps won't be cooperative, but if you have a southern exposure today's sunshine should be helpful in clearing the ice.

Sorry to read about your coughing fit and lack of hot water. Circuit breaker to the hot water tank maybe?

My driveway is a southern exposure, and I was pleasantly surprised that the snow and ice were gone when I came home. Felt too tired last night to look into the hot water issue, which I will do tomorrow morning.

Friday - 2/09/18. legs, abs, 25 minutes sauna. m-t-d workouts: 5/9. In less than a week, I have lost a lot of strength, yes, hard to believe you can lose strength so quickly. To change that situation, I trained legs, and abs today. I lifted lighter, usually 10-20 pounds lighter, but the same number of reps and sets. For squats, I also decreased the number of reps. Tomorrow I plan on chest training, and try running again. TGIF.

Sat - 2/10/18. chest, abs, 25 minutes sauna. m-t-d workouts: 6/10. Like yesterday, did my chest training with lighter weights than before I got sick. Not really an option, because I couldn't have lifted heavier even if I wanted to. I have until 2/15 to decide if I am running in the NYC marathon. I have to accept by then, or my spot is lost to me. I originally wanted to run 20 NYC marathons (18 so far), but recently I have been feeling like the marathon running chapter of my life is over. Tomorrow I hope to train back.
