Hey me and a few guys i know on another board a year or so ago did a trny for that board...well really just a sit n go with 7-8 people for like $10 each

i assume a lot of people have pokerstars accounts....anyone interested in like a 6-9 man sitngo or something?

I'll set everything up and itll just be a regular table except we can put a password on it

I did it on full tilt ...will find out if pokerstars lets me do it too

reply here if you're interested we can workout times/dates/details etc afterwards

    Sounds fun. I'll play.

On Pokerstars you have to have a certain number of FPPs (not many, like 1,000, if I recall correctly) and then request thru PS support that the feature to create custom tournaments be added to your account. I'd did that a while back, so it's no problem for me to create a JSF private tourney if you encounter any difficulties.

There's no way to create custom SnGs on PS. We'd have to create a tournament with a pre-set date and time.

BTW, anyone who wants to participate and doesn't have a PokerStars account can download the software for free here. You can play with play money all you want for free, but you'll need to fund the account with real money to play in this tournament. If you live in the US, use the eCheck option.

Yeah i used to do full tilt and you had to do is email them with all the details...if you have 1000 fpp john can you create it? cause I think I only have like 100 or 150 ...just started playing on this site

sounds like we have good initial reaction...hope this thing takes off

once we get reaction from a few more people we can talk about times, buy ins, etc...

oh yeah and another note on pokerstars...they just lowered their echeck deposit to $10

so if you only wanted to play this one trny you don't have to deposit $25 or $50 like before....if we decide a $10 buy in you can just do that ($11 actually with entry fee I guess)

and echeck is the way to go...way easier than anything else

No problem at all. I'll set it up once we get a good idea how many want to play and then we nail down a date and time.

Maybe if we get enough interest we can make JSF poker night a weekly thing. :spaz:

I play at Full Tilt, but I'll open an account at Poker Stars for this. I'm in, and wouldn't even mind making it a weekly thing, as long as the buy-in is no more than $10.

I was going to ask about that, but figured it might be a little too early w/o seeing interest level. I would certainly play in a monthly game if it was available. Probably weekly as well as long as the buy-in wasn't too high. The wife already thinks I've got too many other expensive hobbies. :)

Having tried to organise similar things with people from all locations in the past I think it would be much easier to suggest 3 or 4 dates and times and see if we can all make it. Otherwise you are, probably, going to get 10 players with 10 prefered times.

With the exception of Tuesday and Friday night (and all weekend) I am free more or less any time.

I agree with CR74. When we put together our monthly live game, it took us a while to get more than a few people there because of their prefered schedules. If it's a regular thing, more and more people will adapt to the date/time. Maybe just pick 2 dates and 2 times for each date and go with the one with the most votes?

That said, I'm open evenings after 5pm MST except for Wednesdays. Wednesdays, I'd be open after 9pm MST, but that's getting late for you east-coasters.

That works well for me, but I don't think John stays up that late. I think we also need to take into account any international players. :madpimp:

I'm free most evenings, but later is usually better, weekend best.

However, later/better taken in the context of me being at GMT!

    Andrew.
