Actually I've been giving some thought about the wisdom of dropping another 20 pounds. Check out today's blog for more details.

What a workout today! Training is going extremely well so far on this cut...

Three weeks in and about 10% body fat here. This is a mirror shot, sorry about the split down the middle where the two gym mirrors join.

Your adjusted goal seems a lot more reasonable.

Just looking at the last two photos you posted up makes me want to work hard.

    No offense, but I can't believe you're 43.

Yeah, dropping 20 more pounds when I have less than 20 pounds of fat on my entire body would have been... stupid.

I saw your intro thread. I think it's time to start that journal and get cracking!

Hah, none taken. Diet and exercise, man! :tucool:

What do you watch/do when doing your 45 mins on the bike. I guess having done it all these years its not so bad, but I find myself going crazy after 10 mins! Any tips?

I'm only doing one LISS cardio session per week (the rest of the time it's mountain biking, HIIT or medium-high intensity cardio). I always watch MMA when doing any kind of extended indoor cardio. I've got tons of UFC, Pride and other MMA DVDs, so I just pop one in and enjoy.

Just below 9% body fat. Some quad separation starting to show, will become far more pronounced as I drop into the 6-7% body fat range.

About 6.5% body fat here. Quads and hamstrings are starting to cut up nicely. Notice the big bruise on my quad? That was from a hard mountain biking fall over the weekend onto some big, wet roots.

Closing out yesterday's intense, but enjoyable, training session. About 6.5% body fat.

You still have sensational arms even at this lower weight.

And a smile as well, a rare pictorial treat from you John. :D

Thanks, Reno. It's amazing how much bigger muscles appear when body fat is low. My arms in that picture (pumped) are not even 17".

Just finished an incredible back/biceps/abs workout. Deep ab rollouts are the real deal.

Gotta agree the arms are ridiculous.

Cannot wait for my body fat to get from about 40% down to 10% or so, my calf muscles from years of badminton are absolutely HUGE, but right now it's like a block of muscle rather than seperation or seeing anything.

Gotta say, the ab rollout looks so.....cheap? I don't know the word but I cannot believe one simple cheap machine[never seen any workout gear for less than $10 except this!], can do so much damage.

I guess I will order one and try!

Another excellent PR-filled training session today. I decided to take a couple of pictures after my workout; ironically the only picture that came out halfway decent was the throwaway photo I used to test the lighting. Between 6% and 6.5% body fat here.

You're looking great John. That photo made me laugh thinking of you looking like a badass photographer saying "Ok, turn...pout for me baby" and your model is sitting there scared to death thinking "Oh my god, look at those arms....he is going to kill me if I don't frickin' pout as hard as I frickin' can!"
