    Nice day for hopping. :)
    lets-hop.jpg

Now that my wrist is feeling better I decided to practice bunny hopping again for the first time in about 10 months. I've only lost about 1" from my personal best. This is a 1-foot hop.

I was attacked by a pedalshark. Deadlifting should be fun on Friday. :(

Nah, that just what I call bike pedals when they attack my shins.

We actually broke a record high yesterday - it hit 92 degrees. We desperately need some rain here, so I'll trade ya.

March 1995. I was in Wisconsin for my sister's wedding.

It snowed in Orlando December 1989 (the same year I moved here), but I was home in Houston, TX visiting at the time (where it also snowed).

Did you like it? I mean obviously you're a warm-weather kinda guy, but do you have any use for the snow?

PS - I didn't know you had a sister, I only recall you mentioning a brother. Cool. Wisconsin...Texas...Florida, you guys covering all four corners almost. Who's out on the west coast, haha. :)

New trail goodness this morning! I rode at the recently completed Lincoln Avenue trails in Mt. Dora, FL.

Map of the trails (just mapped one complete lap).

Video capture of me coming up a hill after a nice steep downhill. The cardio workout on this trail is killer. I'll probably post some video after work.

I love the snow, but not enough to live somewhere where I'd have to deal with it. So basically I enjoying visiting places that get snow, but am very happy living here in the tropics.

Some footage from my first trip to these brand new trails in Mt. Dora, Florida. The trails were pretty slick after a light rain (wet leaves and some sand), but I had a blast riding out there. Some of the uphills are killer, and there are a couple of nice downhills. You'll know whether or not you're in shape after riding this trail! There aren't any real technical sections right now, but this trail has a lot of potential.

    It's a great cause, but there's no way I'm wearing a mustache.

Cam on chest looks much better than in handle bar imo.

I totally agree, but the modification that I made to angle the camera up beyond its original design was critical. GoPro needs to put some serious work into their mounts, all of which currently have design and strength issues.

It's not annoying to ride around with that thing on your chest? I'm sure if you crashed and landed on it that would be total suckage too.

Not at all - the camera is way less noticable on my chest compared to when it's mounted on top of my mellon. I mean, I've got a ~12 pound CamelBak strapped to me, so this little camera is barely a factor. The harness is actually quite comfortable.

Hrm. I've never crashed chest-first. I usually break all my falls with my face.

Sure, but I gave up drinking indefinitely a few months ago. No more hard liquor for me - ever.

Yesterday was a perfect day for riding - cool and clear. The trails are in good shape thanks to a couple days of rain earlier in the week. This is my first video using my GoPro HD mounted on a chest mount. Today I think I'll raise the camera higher on my chest.

    NSFW music.
