george on a plane = george on a farm. lol

actually last weekend i was working the farm stand (we sell goat cheese, goat milk lotion/soap/chapstick, melons, avocados, olive oil, and tons of other seasonal organic produce) and this group of french folk stopped in. they were wine tasting on our street (we have some good wineries on either side of us) and had stopped at the olive oil place up the street and the lady there was able to give them their whole lesson in french. they were all impressed and super dissapointed when they saw the farm was owned by "simonin's" but that no one here knew french. so see... we NEED u jedi. ;);)

last week kali's brother's wife (who is a city girl canadian and hasn't been on a farm much) did the whole milking experience with me and totally loved it. it was hilarious. especially cuz we did it with cold hefeweizens in our hand. :D

Jedi, I'm so sorry to see that your experience wasn't as positive as it should've been. But I'm glad that you're taking it in stride and aren't letting it bring you down. Will you trying this again someday?

I almost feel sorry for your hosts. They obviously didn't realize what an incredibly valuable resource they lost. It's as though they cast aside a bar of gold for being too shiny.

Jedi, sorry to read about your experience. Those folks didn't realize what a gem they had.

Sorry for being MIA the past month: :o

    a) internet probs at home
    b) Sept - Dec is mega busy at work for me
    c) mainly I don't know what to write:blank:

For past month I have been working out x2 per week compound lifts but no squats, plus hiking and tennis. I have averaged 1450 cals per day and have gained 6 pounds and +/-2%BF over the past couple of months. Not sure where to go from here. Still working on getting right dose of thyroid meds, so this could be affecting things. Have another blood test next week ;) Plan to work out tonight and tomorrow night as Thurs to Sat is another 3 day hike with the students from school (and of course storms are forecast:cool:)

here's a great protein bar I have made recently. I added protein powder instead of powdered egg whites, though.
