So I can't seem to use HTML in the forums. Just hoping to learn the reason. Is it that I need a better membership than I have or am I missing something in my user options?

Allowing users to use HTML in their posts is a major security risk, and is disabled as a result. Disabling HTML in posts/sigs is a fairly ubiquitous practice.

    John, thanks for the clarification.

Basically, I'm familiar with HTML but not the code here. I just want to make my sig show my fitness journal, but all I can make it do is show URL and people might be unclear where I'm sending them. I want it to say "My Fitness Journal" like many others here do.

But i don't understand where I can make that happen. The link creation thing here doesn't do that.

Thanks for any help you can provide me!

When you go to modify your signature type the text you want to show, highlight it using your mouse and then click the "Insert Link" icon (looks like a link in front of a globe) to add the URL. Save and you're done.

For detailed information on using vbcodes directly, please read this.

Or you can type it quickly like this (remove the spaces)

    [ url="THE URL OF YOUR JOURNAL"]My Journal

You can use the "noparse" tag to demonstrate code without it being interpreted. Simply surround the code you want to show with the noparse tag, just as you would with any other tag. :)

The below code shows without being interpreted because I put the "noparse" tag around it:

    John Stone Fitness
