    Been following along, but haven't posted here in a while and wanted to chime and say that you're doing great given all that's going on. :tucool:

    Cycling's legit and even while I'm training for a marathon, as I currently am, I cycle to save my body from the pounding rigors of running. It's nice to have the option.

    Thus far I've not yet hit week 4 of the Freeway to 10k program due to some unforeseen problem every time. Well... I will be there next week!!! Guess that I need to get to downloading

    One of the best weeks I've had on the fitness front in a long time!

    Biked 24 miles and ran 11.9 miles

    Hit the 10# lost mark... also lost 1" from the waist measurement (since I moved to Alabama - 6 weeks ago).

    Looks like it's time to celebrate with some cajun!!!

    Sadly enough, I tried a different place and it wasn't as good :doh:

    Guess I know where I'll be going once I hit 175 :D

    It's been a while since my last update!!! Worked lots of over-time at work and have made trips back to Ohio over the past two weekends in a row, so let's just say I've been a bit busy.

    I am starting on a new fitness routine... this one for my brain! Just enrolled in the 90 day Mental Fitness Challenge... like P90X for your thinking. Looking forward to seeing how it goes and how it helps

    Well... you can tell it's way after the first of the year! I haven't updated in a month and I'm still at the top of the 2nd page!

    I'm in Germany now. The last month involved a lot of trips to see the family, so I haven't done crap with the fitness front :doh:

    Back at it now. I'm stuck here for 2 months, so I gotta make the most of it :tu: I brought the Insanity program over with me... tried to do the fit test yesterday and almost died! Going to try again tomorrow. I think that I'm nearly over the jet-lag. (I got here on Wednesday morning)

    One of the other guys from the states that's here with me wanted to start running... so I started the couch to 5k program with him. It's a bit under my level, but it's better than nothing and I love encouraging others to be healthy.

    Here's today's run... Running:

    OMG - that fit test is killer... I can't imagine what the first workout is going to be like. Had to hold back the :barf: after about 1/2 way. Here are my results. Good thing is the benchmark is now pretty low ;) Improvement should be easy!

    Switch kicks = 50
    Power jacks = 33
    Power knees = 55
    Power jumps = 20
    Globe jumps = 4
    near death experience = 1 :lol:
    Suicide jumps = 8
    P/U jacks = 8
    Low plane obliques = 20

    Immediately followed by Insanity Plyometric cardio circuit... got down to 10 min to go in the workout and had to quit. I'm exhausted!

    Welcome back BJ. Insanity looks insane. :D

    I'll be following your progress on Runkeeper.com. I've downloaded the app and signed up for the Pro. I was wondering how you post your Runkeeper URL to JSF? I post mine to Facebook and don't really care for it there. I'd rather have it here.

    German life seems to agree with you.Good luck on the couch to 5k program. I'd like to start that too sometime this summer as my Goal is to run a 5K before October.

    I post it to fitocracy first then I copy the summary from there and paste into JSF. Germany is good, but I really miss the family!

    As far as the C25K program... I think it is an 8 week program, but you'll be close to a 5k by week 7... it's a great program to ease you into running! I highly recommend it

    yeah... you just got done running a 1/2 marathon... and I just got done getting too fat :doh:Don't worry... the next time you see me in person, I'll be in much better shape ;)

    Insanity - Cardio Power & Resistance done (except the last 10 min)

    My hips and feet are hurting from all of the jumping, so I'm going a bit easy on it in the beginning... last thing I want to do is cause another injury! Especially while in a foreign country

    Dang it! I felt kinda funny when I woke up on Wednesday... then kept feeling worse as the day progressed. Finally, I started having chills and my skin hurt so it was off to bed. I slept 20 hours straight! I think it was the food I ate the night before.

    So, right after I get rolling on the fitness front, I'm starting over. I'd say that I'm about 75% better as of today. Perhaps I'll try a run later today, but I believe that Insanity is going to have to wait at least another day

    Thank you I figured out how to post the u r l 2 j s f. I have a bit of wiggle room before starting the couch to 5 k. I'll look at it and see about getting it done.
