Just looking back... I noticed that I've only lost 1.2 lbs over two weeks (according to the Friday morning weight). However, I am noticeably leaner! Excellent :claphigh:

Pants are getting loose... getting stronger... really like this UD2.0 program - but it is a pain in the butt to follow... requires a lot of planning!

Dang  just had one of the worst workouts that I've had in months. Combination of issues...

Still sore from my 100 rep workouts earlier this week.
Only slept about 5 hours last night

So it goes... fact is I did it... it wasn't pretty, or as intense as I would like, but it is done! Time for some carbs! (and a big night of sleep)

That's some crazy diet BJ. But with the track record you have I'm sure you will make it work.

It was limited due to Easter festivities...

    DL
    5 x 270
    3 x 315
    1 x 345 (failed... only got up 1/2 way)

    Bench
    5 x 170
    3 x 195
    1 x 215

didn't complete OH press or squat... thinking I'll go do those at lunch today.... then I'm thinking I'm going to take a week off. Eat relatively clean, but no carb load this weekend. We are going to a leadership conference in Milwaukee over the weekend, so diet will be affected and workouts will be out of the question. Still have sore muscles from my 100 rep workout last week  remind me to never try that one again

OK... for sure taking the week off. I think that I need it!

Went into the gym at lunch. Did 5x105 on OH press then couldn't get up a single 120  definitely out of character

Similar story on squats... 5x205 was easy... 230 was a total failure.

Take a week off of lifting... keep the food intake relatively clean and recover

I've come to an odd crossroads... I love working out and striving to be in the best shape I can be, but I've come to realize that there are other things that I need to be doing during the time I'm spending working out that will have a greater long-term effect on my life.

Thus, I will not be working out for a while. Will keep the diet decent, but need to dedicate my time in a different direction for a while... it will pay off long term!

As such, I probably won't be updating this for a while again either. If you need to contact me for any reason, please send me a PM - otherwise I'll probably never see the message.

    See everyone sometime later!

Hurry back, check in from time to time. Everything will be waiting for you. Success will be with you, if you put in the same dedication to your new goals as you did your workouts. Looking forward to your return.:tucool:

Thanks guys... I'm honored to have such support. I will not ever lose total focus on staying fit, but I need to keep it in perspective with success in all other areas of life.

We like to call it LIFE (living intentionally for excellence) through the 8 F's (Faith, Family, Finances, Fitness, Following, Freedom, Friends, and Fun).

I just realized that some of the other Fs are suffering on the altar of the fitness component. My plans involve creating more time to be able to focus on fitness once again.

I leave you with a quote that I read yesterday...

"Courage is looking fear in the eye - then spitting in its face"

got a new toy yesterday :claphigh:

Flipped it up the driveway (slightly uphill) for about 20 yards today... holy crap! Made me winded.

Also went for an hour long bike ride today... averaged somewhere in the mid-150s on the heart rate. I can tell that my cardio condition isn't as good as it was last summer.

Don't you lift at lunch anyway? No need to stop training man. I would argue that lifting enhances focus for the rest of the day and will lead to success.

Though I could see the value in networking during lunch. Perhaps get the guys together to lift?? :)

Your break was shorter than mine and you had a good reason. :)

Glad to see you are back
