I know the barbell for bench press weighs 45 pounds but I want to know what the preacher curl bar weighs. I've been told 25 pounds (and hope that's correct, b/c that's what I've been marking down). Is it 25lbs?

    Thanks!

It depends. Not all bars are standardized. The way to find out for sure is to ask the manager at the gym. If you mean the EZ curl bars, they are usually 25 pounds.

The bars used for benching are usually 45 lbs. The one I have is actually 40 lbs because I opted for a shorter bar.

most gyms have a scale somewhere too, weigh yourself then pickup the bar and hold it. Look at the scale, now you know how much it weighs.

I put the ones at 24 hour fitness on the scale once - came out to 27.5.
