Gain 20 Pounds With Carguy

    btw ima gonna see if i can pull the 220 for 3x6 today, lets see if this works out.

    people give me funny looks doing deadlifts at the gym lol, i think i actually am the ONLY one doing them
    as i train at the itsy bitsy shiney fitness fuckhole again being home, god i miss the hardcore football gym @ different town.

    comeon cg, lets do some deads and make our backs grow :D

    hmmmm you sir may very well have a point there :D

    i probably will continue deads today till i hit a total of 24 reps, even if that means doing
    heavy singles at the end. im having a friend come with me, he usually gets super bored
    watching me deadlift because i take ages to warm up - but hell i dont wanna fuck up my back.

    Have you tried straps yet? I want to get some but haven't yet.

    yeah but i dont quite like them feels super unnatural, especially when wearing gloves,
    cant use straps and gloves cause the girth of the bar gets increased unnaturally much.

    see where im pointing at ? im going to maybe get a gripper for some additional grip training.

    lose the gloves.

    I use straps from time to time. Recently I needed them to do long sets of RDLs. It was getting to the point where there was no way I could hold onto the bar that long.

    I'm testing my DL strength today. My PB so far has been 1x5x130kg. I'll be a long way from that. I'm going to do work up to 105kg today and see how many times I can rep that. I reckon I should get at least 8 but who knows.

    well i am struggling with increasing the weight myself, id rather do the 100kg more often before i load 105 on it.

    im sure that i could do couple of 105 already, however i dont see a point to increasing
    before i can atleast do proper 3x6

    The programs I have used have only done the max weight for 1 set for deadlifts. Even starting strength which was a 3x5 program.

    Obviously, this is specific to the program. The last workout I was doing had me doing 4x8 or which I could manage fairly comfortably. I can't wait to get back up to the bigger numbers again though. When I pulled 130kg (not that big compared to others) I remember thinking that it would never get off the ground. But it did, 5 times. And the hot gym girl was right there at the time ;)

    i lold at the hot gym girl, at the gym i train now (at my hometown it sucks bulls balls)
    im like the only one who even knows that the mat on the floor is supposed to be used for deads.

    tons of people give me the wtf looks seeing this little dude deadlifting :)

    If it's anything like my old gym they would have given anyone wft looks just for deadlifting ("why does he just keep picking the weight off the floor?"). I think I saw 2 other people doing it ever! And one of those people clearly hadn't worked out it you could lift serious weight as he was lifting 30kg and could have lifted 3x that easily.

    No, that was squats. Gosh, I remember that. So embarrassing. There a couple of quite cute girls right behind me when that happened. Later that seesion I had to Pendlay rows as well. I made sure my back was to a wall for those. Could have given someone a terrible fright otherwise. :moon:

    hmmm guys i started getting ellbow pain .. lol wtf it appears that ever since i entered this bulk up thread
    i have been getting various sorts of pain ever since :(

    so i guess ill have to lay off elbow extending movements for a while,
    that sadly means all sorts of presses like shoulder press n shit.

    i bought a glucosamine/chrondroitin supplement i take and ill give the joint a little rest.

    any advice for the lil beginner on this ? :confused:

    #@&*:mad:%! it. I've got the flu. Started on Sunday and I was home from work today. So when my body felt weird after deads on Saturday, it was actually the beginning of me getting sick. The worst part is I'm not eating much and my weight is going south. Tomorrow when I weigh myself I won't be surprised if I'm back down to 178# like I was when I started this bulk.:(
