Food help?

    I haven't posted here in a long time. I finally found what was going on with me. I have hypothyroid / hashimoto's - but I am following a holistic Doc VS taking replacement hormone and I have felt slightly better since starting that treatment plan. Apparently, my severely pro-longed restricted food plan + high exercise in 2009 caused the hypothyroid and hashimoto's.

    My problem is my weight & food plan. If I'm not TERRIBLY careful with what I eat, I easily, easily gain. With certain food set ups, I will either gain or stay the same. I have been doing trial and error for a while, but just wanted some advice.

    I'm looking for a food plan that supports weight loss with both no gallbladder and hypothyroid / hashimoto's. I do exercise, but I find I can't push myself too much or I feel 'bad' for it. When I have managed to lose some weight, it's been with lower calories (1,200).

    Right now, I'm on a gluten-free, higher protein, lower carb, and low-moderate healthy fat type plan..... recently had to change to lower fat & higher fiber, since I had become constipated - due to no gallbladder.

    I wish this wasn't so difficult. It would be wonderful if I could just eat healthy and lose the weight like I used to!

    Tips, advice, etc are welcomed!!!!

    Wow... that's a tough situation. Have you considered speaking with a nutritional specialist?

    Yes, but the ones I have looked into cost a pretty penny. Just trying to see if I can get input from anyone.
