Spelled either aether or ether. I am not talking about a colorless, highly volatile, flammable liquid (or any pharmacological compound).

This is a poll! I am testing your knowledge!

(Unless I told you what it is. Then you need to vote to reflect your knowledge prior to my telling you. This means you, Wasteland.)

Doesn't it also mean a medium. i've heard of something like "luminiferous ether". My spelling on the first one is most likely wrong.

I voted no. Then I looked it up. And I still don't know what it means.

Just curious ... Why are you interested in the number of people who know what aether is? If you don't want to respond for fear of giving the answer away...then that is cool. Just wondering. :)

Is it when there is one thing and then another thing and you are trying to decide between them? Like "I'd aether like to sit near John or M@ at the cheat meal"?

Since I watched 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding', any word that you can think of actually have a Greek origin. Given that hard fact, ether was the stuff that the ancient Greeks who developed the first atomic theory thought was in the heavens.

So in conclusion, when Philly stayed with me the night before the Baltimore Half Marathon and he joked about the Ether Bunny, he was actually saying that he was from heaven.

    I voted yes.
