I read that the best ZMA products contain,

    Vitamin B6: 11mg
    Magnesium: 450mg
    Zinc: 30mg.

And that as all these ingredients are readily available in chemist shops, it is far cheaper to just buy them separately, and equally as effective.

    Here's the thing,
I went onto a website that sells vitamins etc, and their pills are this strength:

    B-6 Tablets 50 mg. 100 Tablets Cost £1.49
    Magnesium 250 mg. 100 Tablets Cost £4.19
Zinc Chelated Tablets 10 mg. 250 Tablets Cost £8.99

    If I took
1/2 a tablet of Vit. B6 per day (25mg)......200 Days supply
2 tablets of Magnesium per day (500mg)....50 Days supply
3 tablets of Zinc per day (30mg)..............83 Days supply

Would that be OK & still effective as the ZMA formulas that as sold on bodybuilding sites?

    Normally

You don't get zinc or magnesium in the aspartate form if you buy them seperately. Not saying what you're trying to put together won't be as good, I'm just saying its a bit different.
